Villa Edy is an extremely comfortable, well situated, traditional hotel where you will be welcomed by friendly staff into a clean, functional room with amazing views of Lake Como (if you book a Lake view), a very welcome, and well maintained, pool, and a well stocked bar. Walking distance to Villa Carlotta and the Navigazione pier in Tremezzo (with a relatively steep climb back to the hotel if you are so inclined) you can reach the main sights, including Bellagio, from the hotel without needing your car. Breakfast is straightforward and perfectly reasonable with a range of meats. cheese, cereal and bread, whilst the dinner menu is a little limited; but bars and restaurants are plentiful in Tremezzo, and you can enjoy the walk back to the hotel along the shore of Lake Como. Hotel Villa Edy isn’t luxurious, but neither is it ‘humble’ as a previous review described it. I sense a real desire to do what they do well and they succeed. Pick this hotel for its pretty unique balance of price, location and quality. Enjoy the pool. Enjoy the views. Enjoy the bar. And enjoy the walks to Tremezzo through steep, narrow, winding streets and along the shoreline (taking the route through the park and avoiding the road, at least for some of it).

The facilities are being very well kept, spacious rooms and parking area. Most members of staff were fantastic, very responsive, always with a smile in their face. They did not charge 16 eur for what was a very poor meal, meant to be regional and, in Italy, fresh. Breakfast had a reasonable choice considering the size of the hotel, bread was soft/long life but seemed fresh. The eating area was pleasant. Disliked · One member of staff/owner decided to talk in Italian in my presence about me to the other staff. I think this was very discourteous, even rude. The point she was making is about the fact the hotel had to admit they do serve meals but the food is not freshly prepared. Essentially having a mixed chicken nuggets type of milanese cottoletta with some rewarmed chips - I had asked and been told were cooked "in the oven" (perhaps microwave oven?)... While counting the cash they had in the till, the lady was arguing with the other manager that the hotel should decide to charge the 16 eur for that rewarmed meal.

We stayed for a wonderful week in August. Great quiet location, superb facilities with tennis and pool. Delicious restaurant, good breakfast, good bar. Very easy location for lake and transport. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Very comfortable rooms.

This is the perfect hotel to visit Lake Como! Beautiful position 5 mins walk back from main road so completely quiet and you get that Great Lake View. Very comfortable air conditioned rooms, spotlessly kept. Amazing pool, flawless tennis court. Great staff, delicious restaurant. Breakfast included. Wonderful staff. Middle of the Lake so you can go anywhere to visit.

I was travelling from Milan by train and I spent 3 nights here. To get to the hotel I chose a taxi, because this place is about 45 minutes - 1 hour from train station. It cost me €100. On my way to the hotel I saw a nice view of the lake and hills and it was awesome. I got to the hotel and it was quite hot and humid, so after checking in I decided to chill at the pool. The front desk lady, Silvia, she's very nice and my Italian is so broken (lol), so lucky she spoke English fluently. I had a room at 2nd floor and they have elevator. Nice. The room was pleasant, airy, bright (2 sides windows) and with a balcony. From my balcony I could see the lake, the mountains, the Hills.. Lovely... Oh, and also air con. Yay!! I decided to had lunch here and the kitchen prepared me a delicious ravioli. Yuuumm. And for a thirst quencher? Italian beer!! Then I head out to the pool to chill. You can see the lake como area from the hotel as well. From outdoor area, you can chill with a glass of wine and look at the view. I also had dinner here, the food so far was good and you can ask Karolina if you are a wine lover. She's good! This hotel is a bit up to the hill and for me, to walk down to the water it would need about 15 minutes. There is a road for pedestrians and once you get down.. There was a nice simple outdoor bar called Bar Roma. From there I can walk to the ferry station, around 30 minutes walk along the water. The view was also magnificent.

Very nice, clean and well run small hotel. Great views of the lake and surrounding without being on the busy coast road. Very fine pool area and nice tennis court. Staffe very attentive. Breakfast adequate. I walking distance some very good restaurants

Our stay widely exceeded the expectations. The staff was amazing also for suggesting a taxi to reach the hotel. Rooms very clean and comfortable, with a unique view on the lake. Same for the breakfast and the pool. Highly suggested.

I am so glad we decided to stay at Villa Edy! Spectacular view of the lake, gorgeous pool that was delicious during hot weather, fine rooms, wonderful varied plentiful breakfast, friendly and helpful owners. An ideal base to explore Lake Como. Definitely you want to have a car because it is a walk up the hill and a drive to get much of anywhere. Driving and parking up and down the Lake Como road is not a stress-free experience, but all in all we were glad we had the means to explore, including easy trips to Switzerland which was only a few minutes' drive away. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. Positives - big rooms with balcony. We opted for lake view which is gorgeous -Near lake bit away from busy road and so therefore very quiet - nice breakfast - lovely staff - good pool Negatives Old fashioned room Loud ac but at least there was ac Would stay again
