Grand Hotel Tremezzo

The GHT was a fabulous experience. The service and staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. We had wonderful meals in all the restaurants yet found ourselves spending the most time at the T Bar with live entertainment. A very special thank you to Vincenzo at the T Bar for making each evening magical for us. He truly went above and beyond. And I cannot recommend enough the private wine tasting in the wine cellar. Rosario provided an in-depth and informative wine tasting that was really special. Overall the entire experience was wonderful.

Amazing hotel, very luxurious and elegant. We made a reservation 10 months in advance with American express. The lobby, the rooms, the garden are all breath taking. It's a combinations of Italian traditional style with an elegant of a century old. Plus I liked the orange color theme of the hotel Our room has a wonderful lake view. We enjoyed the floating pool and the garden pool too. We  walked up the garden and found their mascot, the bear. We stayed 4 nights and explored the hotel and enjoyed everything in it. I loved the furniture and the elegance about every room in the lobby. It felt like a castle! One of their restaurants required formal dress code, bring fancy clothes. The food was very pricey, but delicious mind you the portions is very small. On other nights we went to the nearby restaurant -walking distant- and ate authentic Italian food. It was much reasonable price. We parked the first night with the hotel but it was expensive so we found a free street parking about five minutes walk down the road. Many thanks to Carolina for giving us our first tour of the hotel. She would greet us by name everytime she sees us. The staff were very courteous and delightful. Thank you to Pio and Giovanni for being great hosts at the restaurants. Also Katerina and Donato were both pleasant to chat with at dinner time. Thank you Tony for the beautiful evening music. We are looking forward to our next vacation to lake Como and staying in Tremezzo hotel.

My wife and I visited GHT for our honeymoon early July 2024. I will go through every detail but let me start by saying that the overall experience was delightful, no question about that (with a few hiccups, of course)... GHT is definitely a top-notch Hotel. That being said, do budget accordingly. * Airport to Hotel Transportation (arranged by the Hotel): Excellent! It took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our driver Rocco was friendly, polite and very professional. The vehicle was extremely comfortable. For sure a bit expensive but the alternative was a 3 hour journey involving walking, train, bus and/or ferry. * Front Desk/Check-In Process: Quick and smooth. Staff very friendly BUT unfortunately there was no early check-in available (even though we were entitled to it because of Membership status, subject to availability). * Restaurant L'Escale: Wasn't thrilled. The Maitre d' was not very friendly when we showed up for lunch without a reservation and no room number (were were in limbo waiting for our room to be ready). View was beautiful but not different than La Terraza and T Bar. Food was good but not great. Tried to have a drink at the bar before our dinner reservations and turns out you can't seat AT THE BAR without ordering food. * Restaurant La Terraza Gualtiero Marchesi: Definitely the crown jewel. Service was impeccable, food was superb and the view was breathtaking. By no means cheap but top quality has a price. Our server Randy really made us feel at home. * Breakfast at La Terraza: The variety and quality of the food in the buffet made every morning a delightful experience. Staff were as friendly and efficient as the night before. Surprisingly there's a difference between the staff at La Terraza and the staff in the rest of the hotel in terms of professionalism and reliability. * Swimming Pool by the Lake: Maybe the most iconic sight of GHT. Pool is beautiful and certainly a joy to swim in. Service was terrible, to the point of non-existent. I had to get out of the pool twice to order the same drink at the bar. In the 2 hours we were there not once did a server come near us to ask if we needed anything. I understand bad service might be a one-time thing in some place, but places of this category can't afford to have those days. The blue paint of the pool would stick to any part of your body at contact so don't be surprised if your feet, knees, elbows or other parts of your body are blue. * Restaurant Da Giacomo al Lago: A nightmare!! Makes it twice as painful to know that my wife was really excited to try this place. Server was rude, pushy and arrogant. The whole time we were there all servers were catering to a large group (of non-guests of the Hotel) and moving tables and chairs to accomodate them while the rest of the people just sat, watched and waited. As La Terraza sets the standard for quality matched to high prices, Da Giacomo al Lago does the opposite. I would never go back there. * Housekeeping: Not at the level of Excellence a Hot

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a stunning property located in the heart of Lake Como. Here’s what makes it so special: Property: The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, featuring multiple pools, a variety of restaurants, and a breathtaking garden. Every corner of the property is thoughtfully designed to showcase the beauty of Lake Como. (Maybe make the hot tub a little bit warmer :) ) Breakfast: 11/10 Breakfast here was a standout experience. From the spectacular views to the incredible buffet spread, it was unlike any breakfast I’ve ever had. Truly a feast for both the eyes and the palate! Hospitality: The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. We also booked a boat tour on the lake through the hotel, and it was a memorable experience. The captain was friendly, and the tour offered stunning views of the lake. Room: Our room was extremely comfortable and even included a Dyson hair dryer—a luxurious touch that didn’t go unnoticed. Overall, I have nothing but praise for this extraordinary hotel. The Grand Hotel Tremezzo perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and the charm of Lake Como.

The spa is sensational! My husband and I did a whole spa day, and it was like we were in a movie! It was so relaxing and clean. Everyone who works there were fantastic, very friendly and their services were above and beyond, you really feel rejuvenated when you are done
