Ulasan Hotel Grand Toya

The hotel is very good 👍 The breakfast and dinner is delicious. It is suitable for friends or family gathering. At night, we can try the hotspring as well! I enjoy a lot!!

Pros: - near the cruise pier - room is spacious for 4 people  - can view a bit of lake Toya from the room  Cons: - extremely small toilet area  - public bath looks very old and smelly  - male housekeeper opened the door and entered our room without saying a word during the check out time. Kids were actually still using the toilet in the room at that time but he seemed very focused on cleaning in front of us. We were embarrassed as a guest

The location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much. Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.

The location of hotel is best, from the windows, it is lake view. Staff here can speak both English and Chinese, no communication barrier. The front desk staff shared us the firework event in the night is the 1st one since 5 years, and recommended the best firework viewing location along the lake, and reminded us the timing. The hotel room has no private shower, and onsen is pretty small.

the total experince is great this is very trditional japanese style hot spring hotel the room is quite historial cosy and nice , the lake view is awesome. the price included the dinner and beakfast is really good i would like to recommend this hotel to my friend

-the room was tidy when first move-in but did not clean the bin for 2 days stay -Described as lake view but changed my room to lower G/F floor which was unable to see any lake view -the hot spring smelled moldy and some of the tiles in pool were peeling off. - understand the hotel was old fashion, but appeared to be more justified for the rate charged to us with better maintenance.

This is a hotel which look like from the 80s of last century. The location is very nice which is situated in the front of the lake. Apart from that, everything looks so old. The room which I stayed was big bu which is on the first floor close the the onsen and public toilet. Some people always talk outside so that the room is not quiet all the time. The window of this room is facing the lake. However, due to the privacy, a lot of plants blocking the view of people walking pass the room. It makes the room a little dark and no view. Moreover, the aren't enough plug for charging device too.

Close to Lake Toya and the station, the location is very convenient. Across from Lake Toya, although there are some traditional The room is very Japanese, but the hot spring is a bit small

The boss is a very cute and kind uncle! The boss has decorated the store with many of his favorite collections! The hotel has complete facilities and huge rooms! The hotel has indoor and outdoor natural hot springs, free and comfortable! The hygiene is great! You can see the Toya Lake and Mt. Yotei from the window! The location is excellent, 2 minutes walk from the station! High cost performance!

Take a bus from the Donan bus stop at the right entrance of Toya JR Station for 15-20 minutes, get off at Toyako Onsen Station, and walk for 2-3 minutes to the hotel. The facilities are relatively old, but the open-air hot spring on the first floor is pretty good (there are also indoor ones). Remember to bring a bath towel from the room when you take a hot spring bath. There is no mineral water, so you can drink directly from the tap in the room. There is a kettle and a refrigerator. Most of the small restaurants on the street open at 11am and close at 7pm. Therefore, most restaurants are run by elderly people who prepare food and slowly serve tourists. Breakfast at the hotel is from 7:30am to 9am, and many hotels in Japan check out at 10am. The hot spring tax is 150 yen per person. If you want to go shopping after checking out of the hotel and leave in the afternoon, the hotel can store your belongings for free until 12am on the same day, and 500 yen per item will be charged for more than one minute. It is better to store your belongings at the nearby Toyako Onsen Station, which costs 300 yen until 9pm (you can put down a large box or two small boxes). If your box is full, you can also ask the staff at the bus station information office to pay for storage, and they also have umbrellas to lend to tourists for free. More warm than hotel service

There are four of us, and we sleep on a large bunk bed! Japanese style, with a kang as the first step into the room. The toilet is very, very small, and there is no shower in the room. You can only go to the public bathhouse and the hot spring to take a shower together! There is not much space to put the suitcase

The hotel is located by Lake Toya. It is convenient to take a walk by the lake and the scenery is beautiful. In the lake view room, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and Mount Yotei from the window of the room. Only breakfast and dinner are Japanese-style set meals, which are relatively simple. There is no coffee supply in the hotel, which makes them pale in comparison. But it is still cost-effective and worth recommending.
