After much deliberation we decided to book Sol Principe via Jet2Holidays for a 7 night all inclusive stay at Sol Principe and were not disappointed. First of all, the experience with Jet2 at Stansted was great - no issues at check in, bags went on their way and the flight was more or less on time to Malaga. On arrival, collected our bags and took the transfer to Sol Principe. We arrived late in the evening, after 9pm I think but got checked in smoothly and after dropping off our bags in the room, managed to catch some food in the buffet restaurant. The rest of the week was fab. The family suite was OK, lots of space but not much storage - the room had the space, but no cupboard so we piled up our clothes but that wasn't such a big deal. The bathroom was a little funny too - the toilet roll holder far behind the toilet and the hand wash high up on the wall, so the kids couldn't reach it but besides that no real issues. Our kids slept in the sofabed in the room immediately from the door while we stayed in the main bedroom with the balcony. The 'front' room can be noisy late into the night with traffic going down the corridor but chances are your kids will be zonked out anyway. Beds were changed every couple of days and the place kept clean and tidy. We took full advantage of the included breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant. The staff there are amazing - always friendly, efficient and the kitchen staff did a great job under heavy demand, as there were a couple of nights when it got really busy. The food was lovely - always something new to try but of course, the staple stuff for the kids to enjoy like pasta, rice and chips. The bar staff were also great - we are not heavy drinkers but enjoyed the cocktails included in AI, although they are not like the "real thing" but good enough that we enjoyed it. The pools were very cold and open when we went. Even the splash park was open, but I guess because it was sunny enough and busy enough to warrant being open. The sunbed situation was OK - it was tricky getting a bed as we saw so many beds left unoccupied with a towel for hours on end, by people dropping them off and not using them (or perhaps going to and from the indoor pool). This was a shame but didn't spoil our holiday since we didn't have much time to stay there anyway with our two kids... ... Which brings me onto the highlight of the holiday, which was the Kids Club and the amazing team that looked after them. Thankfully our kids were happy to give it a go and loved the activities. Typically they'll do sessions from 11am to 1pm, then 3pm to 5pm and a mini disco at 9pm. It was great to be able to leave the kids there and go do our thing, such as going into town or simply lounging around with a cocktaill. Special thanks go to Paloma, Dani and Lucia at the kids club for looking after and entertaining ours. Thanks so much! The beach and town are lovely, really nice and clean and welcoming. It's not too much of a walk down the
