Ulasan Hotel New Otani Tokyo the Main

Ideal hotel for families.  There are many restaurants within the building.  Most importantly there is car park and it’s free if you are guest of the hotel.

The room was a bit dated with a view of shinjuku, disappointing considering the advert and photos show views of the gardens. Room was a bit dated. Friendly helpful staff. Located in a quiet suburb but was a 12-15mins walk to the nearest metro.

Everything went well except for an issue with our luggage and snowboard, which we sent from the hotel to Narita Airport via Yamato. (黑貓宅急便）Unfortunately, the luggage was damaged beyond repair and is no longer usable. We originally purchased it for over 200,000 JPY, but the delivery company only offered 10,000 JPY in compensation. Additionally, one of the Yamato staff in the airport  had a very poor attitude  We were not satisfied with how they handled the situation.

Very nice hotel as expected. We know the hotel and good to see the Main has been well maintained. Beautiful Japanese yard. Location is convenient. The only disappointing part is the breakfast. Western style buffet in the morning has very limited items and same every day. I hope they can make more variety of the food.

The staff was great. This is a large hotel. The best things about it are: the gorgeous Japanese garden - just lovely. The rooms are clean. A newspaper was delivered every morning , which was a treat. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk for two different underground stations - but not difficult to get too. Staff arranged a cab to the airport for us. The outdoor pool was closed and there was a 50,000 yen change to use a gym with an indoor pool. We stayed in the “Main” - very nice, but the bathrooms are a wee bit dated and somewhat crowded. Perfectly functional and clean! I have found the pillows in Japan VERY firm and the New Otani is no exception. Perhaps having a pillow selection menu would be nice. We enjoyed our stay.

The service is excellent. The room is spacious and the cleanliness is very good. The garden is so nice and unique.

The location is the most convenient one but still close to many tourist spots and city centre. Nice garden, polite staff, good food and cozy environment. Will visit this hotel again next time.

The garden of this hotel is magnificent... This is a top quality of high-end hotel , hotel staff are friendly n super helpful . The location is absolutely convenient if you drive. Free parking is available. The room size is huge and everything is so clean. We will definitely return to this hotel in our future visit.
