На фото одно, по факту совсем другое! Номер был заказал с ребенком, дали самое не удобное расположение, ни гольф кар не подъезжает туда, ни машина!! Сервис ноль, девочки на рецепшен даже не знаю эт расположение домов! Ресторан не работал, пришлось ехать в город, хотя оплата была за завтрак и ужин!! На завтрак была такая очередь на улице, что пришлось пойти поругаться, так как были с ребенком маленьким!! За три ночи 2000€, это позор!!! Место отличное, но увы, туда больше не нагой!!

Me and my family had an incredible experience here! The service is truly exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Big thank you to Miltos, Ilias, Timos, Aleksandros and many others in the main restaurant, tavern and Pan restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. And the food at the Pan Restaurant? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented.

01:32 as I am writing my review the unacceptably loud event is happening over the hotel reception bar area. Our room is at the edge of the hotel and the bay, and I hear loud weighted bouncing decibels music that woke me up in the middle of the night ( with sealed windows everywhere). I am calling to reception to find out what's going on and how to stop the massive loud noise that just woke me up in the middle of the night. I truly though it is some sort of unauthorised party, that receptionist would be very sorry. Receptionist annoyingly told me that he is well aware of it- duhhh, and he is not going to do anything about it. If I want I can go tommorow and complain m. After me trying to clarify what does he mean that he is not going to do anything about it- he annoyingly and mockingly replies - "Eeee, I am not going to go now and stop the party of the daughter of hotel owner!!". To add the hotel publicly calls itself a 5 start hotel, but doesn't offer services that allow you to call yourself a 5 star Hotel. Some of them are: there is no room service. Not even a bottle of water you can request to your room. Can a hotel acquire 5 stars hotel rating if it doesn't offer room service? I don't think so. The breakfast is not free, as they charge you for coffee ( only for free is filter coffee and one type of tee). What a joke. People are queuing for breakfast and dinner in line. Lunch is only in one place- outdoors, infestated by wasps. You cannot dine indoors. This is a very disturbing experience- as wasps attack food and you the moment food arrives. Receptionist are not possessing level of communication skills of a 5 star hotel. Upon arrival receptionist didn't greet us even with a smile, but got annoyed that we didn't have passports in our hands. The room is below average of a 5 star hotel. There is no room bar. The bathrooom smells of sewage. Shower is leaking and flooding the floor. The sea is stunning though- but be careful not to cross road of the hotel owner and his daughter. LOL. Ah yes, they give you an assigned sun bed, you have a key, that you need to carry with yourself to open the umbrella. You are not allowed to use any other sunbed. We have of coarse third row, in the bushes. The receptionist assured to us tommorow she will give us front row. It's our third day of 6 days. Family of 5 with 3 small kids that just want to play by the water . The hotel and island overall has this year huge wasp problem. I got bitten twice in the day of arrival. My conclusion- it is self proclaimed 5 star hotel.

Best family destination. We have been here 2 years ago and it was great. Now it is even better- with spa, sports facilities and a creative kids centre. Special thanks to Alexandra for making this break unforgettable with her pilates and aqua gym!

I have so much regrets going to this hotel, my whole vacation was ruined by what happened to me. The day after we arrived I woke up with a lot of red dots what looked like mosquito bites on my leg. Never ever experienced before, I went through the day thinking it was mosquito bites and the next day untill I searched the room. And found LARVAE’s and BUGS/INSECT under the matress… I was disgusted by this and knew actually after that it wasn’t mosquito bites but INSECTS in BED… I went to the reception and told what has happened, they were very calm as of it’s nothing…And helped me to get another room immediatly which was a downgrade of room. We got a suite first, we were downgraded to another room.. I told them about the situation and they gave us a bigger room. If I kept quite they would let me stay in the downgraded room. BUT I WOKE UP EVERYDAY ITCHING ON MY LEGS, the response I got was “DON’T WORRY, IT’S NOT A BIG OF A DEAL” no here, go to this adress a pharmacy, or here, go to the doctor… IN PLACE OF HELPING THEY ASKED ME THE PICTURES OF THE INSECTS I TOOK TO IDENTIFY IF IT WAS DANGEROUS… Well I will put some pictures what I have found under the matress, LARVAE DIFFERENT KIND OF INSECTS… LITTLE SPIDERS UNDER THE BED… AND I AM STILL ITCHING LIKE MAD! I got no help from them, no question how it’s going further with me. The people that worked there were kind in general, but how the situation was… it’s not acceptable… WATCH OUT FOR THE HYGIENE IN ROOMS WHEN YOU GO THERE. Few of the PICTURES I took, and the INSECTS I have found in bed/under matress.

We are still staying at the hotel. The beach and location is superb. But its understaffed and caotic at breakfast & dinner. The selection of food is weak, dinner if you arrive late to escape the bee attack there is merely no food left. Breakfast has long queues due to bees, which could easily be diverted with coffee smoke ( sailors know). Our room was not cleaned one day saying that the hotel was too big , and service was until 16:00. the next day we checked it and had to remind them at 15:20 that it still wasnt. Friendly staff but would I come back ??

We recently stayed at this resort, and while the location and property are stunning, several aspects fell significantly short of a five-star standard. Upon arrival, the front desk did not take into account our prior email communication, which caused a delay in check-in after a long journey. However, the front desk staff were courteous, acknowledged the oversight, and offered an upgraded room category. Their professionalism in handling the situation was appreciated. The resort’s setting is exceptional — beautifully maintained grounds and a fantastic beachfront. The beach is a highlight, and the beach bar team was friendly, efficient, and delivered a well-curated offering. The seafood restaurant also stood out: the food was high quality, and the service team delivered an excellent dining experience. Unfortunately, the all-day dining restaurant — which serves breakfast and dinner — was a major disappointment and does not align with what one would expect at a five-star property. Breakfast quality was poor. Juices came from outdated dispensers, and even basic items like omelettes were difficult to get. The egg station was disorganized, and the overall experience felt more like a low-tier cafeteria than a luxury resort. Dinner was no better. Despite the resort's seaside location, seafood was almost entirely missing from the buffet. The live cooking station repeated the same limited items — overcooked chicken, pork, and occasional beef stew — day after day. Fresh grilled fish appeared just once during our 7-day stay. A proper selection of fresh, grilled seafood like calamari or octopus — something you’d reasonably expect at this price point — was entirely absent. To be fair, the restaurant manager was very professional, visible, and genuinely tried to improve the experience. His effort was noticeable and appreciated. Unfortunately, the poor food quality and lack of variety were issues far beyond his control — a clear sign of deeper issues in kitchen leadership and standards. At €320 per night, the dining experience — particularly the buffet — is far below expectations and simply not worth the price. We had originally planned to have all our meals at the resort, but ended up dining out most nights just to find something decent to eat. In summary, the resort itself is beautiful, and the service team — though mostly young and still learning — is trying hard. The restaurant manager deserves recognition for his efforts. However, the Food & Beverage operation as a whole urgently needs serious attention. Until that is addressed, guests may want to book room-only and make separate dining arrangements elsewhere.

Family of six, with small children, unable to sit at the same table for an evening meal. Unable to sit outside due to wasp problem. Food and ambience dreadful for a 5 star hotel. Restaurant staff awful. Reception staff, friendly but unhelpful. Beach, pool and setting lovely. Wish we had believed the reviews.

We came for dinner at 7:00 PM and kindly asked to be seated inside the restaurant, as dining outside was not possible due to wasps. We are a large family with children, including one with a disability, and needed a safe and comfortable place to eat. We were told that we should come to dinner in turns, as we were “too many” to be seated together. There were no available tables inside, and although we asked for help, no staff member offered a solution – we were just told to wait, without any estimated time. With no choice, we sat in the lobby with our food. Very soon, we were scolded for being there with plates, even though no alternative was provided. A few minutes later, a staff member named Mr. Vasilos approached us aggressively, grabbed our plates without permission, and placed them outside, insisting we leave the lobby immediately. It was a shocking and humiliating experience. We waited over 50 minutes, but no table was offered. This is unacceptable service, especially in a hotel that presents itself as family-friendly. We expected basic respect and hospitality. Sadly, it was the opposite.

An absolutely amazing place. Very good service & wonderful array of food. Accommodation as bungalows and set amongst the hills & trees was a different experience. Golf buggies offering free transport for guests was a nice surprise I would highly recommend Makryammos, Thassos & would definitely go back there

Absolutely superb from start to finish beautiful surroundings clean beach and crystal clear seawater. The accommodation was spotless and all the food was delicious plenty Full and good quality. Special mention to Kalli in the bar who was delightful and Maria in the restaurant who waited on us at breakfast and dinner so attentively! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and definitely back again very soon .

Amazing place, excellent staff, the place it is quite unique. The beach/sand very clean, same for the water. The food was very good, the accomodation was excellent (we had a junior suite apartment, very spacious and modern). The bungalows are like in the pictures, inside of a small forest. I will return for sure.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at Makryammos bungalows and was a bit concerned about staying there after reading the previous reviews. The complex has its really good points and some really bad points in my opinion. Firstly the good points:- Rooms are really beautiful and spotless. The bedding and towels extremely clean and are changed frequently. There is a fridge in the room with a large complementary bottle of water along with tea and coffee making facilities. Free safe. Good selection of TV channels in English (did not use though). Lack of toiletries in bathroom and no soap dispenser in separate wc/hand basin room, nor anywhere to place your hand towel. Comfy beds and pillows. Large remote control ceiling fan to complement the air conditioning. Left door open at night with ceiling fan on low speed making no need for air conditioning on, plus there is a sliding mosquito door. All staff we found to be extremely nice and friendly. But the best thing about this resort is its setting in the pine forest with its own beautiful clean soft sandy beach with safe shallow water to enjoy. All sunbeds are allocated to you personally so there is absolutely no need to rush to reserve one each day. There is also waiter service on the beach for both drinks and snacks if you didnt want to leave your sunbed. Secondly the bad points:- The food was not good. it was extremely canteen style, served in large trays. Lots of the dishes were extremely salty and most were in a tomato sauce, even the fish, chicken, pork etc etc. All the meat and fish were of a poor quality. The best was the Sea Bass cooked once a week on the barbecue. The wine served at dinner was by bottle only and not by the glass. The salads were just basic tomato/lettuce/cucumber/onions etc with nothing else on the salad counter. The pastries were the best though, but unfortunately no ice cream to compliment. The attitude and dining habits of some of the guests staying there were actually unbelievable, which is not the hotel's fault its the people themselves. Most were rude, very greedy with the food piled high on their numerous plates and then left uneaten on the table, an extreme waste of food, not just occasionally but the same everyday. People would just push in front of you to get food and take almost everything from the trays. I have actually read this in a previous review and after having witnessed this type of behaviour, believe that is how some other people behave and it may just be their ways, but again, not the hotel,s fault but its such a complete waste. There were also many, many smokers who did not care if you were seated at a nearby table having either breakfast or dinner, they would just light up and the if the smoke blew your way well that was your dining experience ruined. Most of the people smoked, nearly every family and even in front of their own young children and babies. THIS IS AN ISSUE the management could prevent by allocating a smo

Very nice hotel. The beach is amazing. The food very good. The room is very nice especially if you choose the sea view. A lot of cats and a lot of activities for the children. We had a very nice experience and 100% recommend this hotel as well as the beach.
