"We planned to stay in Tha Farang but water is not clear in this season. We came back to Chandala Hotel as we like the large room with balcony, the clean beds, and the Receptionist having so good customer services. Everything was good. Found out today that after the spouse takes the shower, better to wait for a few minutes before using or the switch on the board outside shower room would be turned off automatically. Can turn it on after a while. This is not a luxury hotel but it has the basic amenities for a comfortable stay and the price is reasonable. Wifi works well. The steps (no elevator), the hallway, public areas before walking to our room and parking lot are all spacious. Location is right on the river (walk across the street). There are some construction works going by the river. The government might build a walkway along the riverbank."

"Travel Lodge is the ideal place for the price. It’s about 2 kilometers from the Mekong, but they rent affordable motorcycles, or it is a good way to get some exercise. Moreover, it has a really homey feel, with staff who are extremely friendly, and it sits back off the main road in a natural environment."

"Great Stay at Inthira Thakhek I stayed at Inthira Thakhek for a business trip and, as always, had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the check-in and stay smooth. My Standard Twin Room was clean and comfortable, though the exhaust fan was a bit noisy. I appreciate their eco-friendly approach—providing glass bottles of water instead of plastic. The breakfast was à la carte with a limited portion, and guests could choose only one menu item, but the self-service tea, coffee, and orange juice were unlimited. Overall, a great stay! I will definitely return on my next trip to Thakhek."

"Absolutely terrible experience. The service was rigid and unhelpful, clearly imitating Chinese practices. I wanted to cancel my reservation the moment I was checking in, but couldn't. They've only learned the bad habits, not the good ones, from Chinese hotel service. If I could have gotten a refund, I would have left immediately. The exterior looks new, but I strongly suspect the interior furniture is secondhand, at least 8 years old."

"Super nice staff, we spontaneously gave us a room for the night. Unfortunately, the washing basin was broken. It was partly dissolved out of the wall and hang down and was light. One staff member looked at all, but meant we could use it like that. Then it went well, we were just careful. Otherwise beautiful facilities and good breakfast "

Souksomboun Hotel

"The hotel is less than 100 meters from the pier, right next to the center point, making it convenient to find dinner. There is a coffee shop in front, but the room does not have a TV. The room is a bit old, but clean and usable."
