"Booked for kumano kodo, was a good stay and had very good first impressions. I liked their shuttle bus. Lots of options and made traveling around easier. Staff member “RYU” was particularly an amazing part of the experience. She made sure we were comfortable. I loved the room and it felt like a very traditional experience. Only thing I disliked was the water in the hot spring. It was not something you could dig, and the “hot spring” (outdoor) had a lot of sediment from dead leaves that made it feel a bit dirty."

"The hotel is 2km away from Tanabe Station. It is a standard youth hostel built by the locals. It has bunk beds, but it is very clean. Each bed has its own power supply and light. The toilet and bathroom are separated upstairs and downstairs, and they are also very clean. The boss and I basically rely on a translator to communicate with him, but he is very nice and provides a delivery service from the hotel to Ryujiri (I can just pay the fare, which is not much different from taking a shuttle bus)"

"The staff were very helpful. The hotel facilities were a bit old, but the hot springs were excellent, and we even soaked in the private one. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the town; there's a bus that goes right to the door, just a short walk up a small hill. The whole place smelled of the local sulfurous hot springs, but you get used to it after a while. In the mornings, the staff even drove us to the town's bus stop."
