Our family was very happy with the family room we booked. It was very clean and the housekeeping does a good job everyday when they make the room. The staff are very professional. Even the staff at the breakfast was courteous and efficient. I will definitely recommend this place for our families and friends. If you want a Japanese feeling hotel, this is the hotel for you!

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***. At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage. Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***… Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

Do use their mandarin name to locate as the gps tend to point you in the wrong direction. Happened to me… Location was very convenient, just minutes away from Ximen station exit 6 and ximending. Overall, an enjoyable experience staying there.

I understood that the hotel location is in Xinmen night market center but check in time at 3 p.m. and check out time at 11 a.m. it doesn't make sense for guest because the previous hotel could check out till midday. As hotel location not easy to find and very important thing since I open the room door that it was very smelly from the smoke of cigarette which an absolutely I don't like it. The 2nd thing when I took a rest in room at approximately 4 - 6 p.m. it was very noisy from a construction in the same building even the hotel uncontrol but should be informe guest since check in.

I like this hotel because its clean ( the most important thing is the bathroom is dry, clean and new ) the receptionists were kind and helpful plus the location is also strategic. The price is very affordable considering the location is in the heart of taipei Would definitely come back again if i revisit taipei in the future

Second time staying at Hotel Resonance, and the room and staff were great once again :) Definitely would recommend if people are coming to Taipei

This prime location made exploring Taipei effortless, with direct MRT access to major attractions such as Taipei 101 and Ningxia Night Market. The room I booked was a Deluxe Twin, which was spacious and well-equipped with amenities like a fridge, flat-screen TV, and free tea/coffee. The minimalist, ”industrial-chic” design gave the space a clean, modern feel. The bathroom impressed me with its automatic松下 (Panasonic) bidet toilet, though the shower’s poor water containment was a minor inconvenience. Housekeeping maintained high standards, with timely room cleaning. Service was efficient overall. The self-check-in kiosks streamlined arrival, and the 24-hour front desk provided helpful travel advice. While the hotel lacks elevators for upper-floor rooms, staff assisted with luggage. The free lobby coffee/tea station was a nice touch, though breakfast (available at an extra cost) offered a decent variety, including fresh fruits and local dishes. Two drawbacks stood out: soundproofing could be improved, as hallway noise was occasionally audible, and the shower’s design led to water splashing. However, these were outweighed by the hotel’s strengths. For budget-conscious travelers, its value-for-money pricing and perks like free luggage storage make it ideal for extended shopping sprees in Ximending. Final Verdict: Hotel Midtown Richardson excels in location and functionality. While not luxurious, it delivers a reliable, clean, and strategically located base for exploring Taipei. Good side for the stay : ✅The room is spacious ✅Clean and tidy even is not a new hotel ✅Electric bidet and bathtub is great ✅Many hanger in the wardrobe for you to use Bad sides for the stay : ❌The hair dryer is not really good to use ❌No make up table or mirror ❌No full length mirror (dressing mirror) Overall the rating and the price for the stay is just normal for me and did not really meet my expectation

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Tango Xinyi. The rooms were modern, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout my visit.
