Hotel di Ximending Commercial Area, Taipei

I love the self check in because it is very convenient. Plus you can store your luggage with lock if you came in early. There are assistants too near the self-check in. I will choose here again if i came back to taiwan.

Me and my friends recently stayed at this hotel and really impressed by the excellent service and location. The staff were friendly and even allowed us to leave our baggages before check-in and after check-out time. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and dining options especially in ximending area. However, the amenities were somewhat limited and understandable due to their enviromental rules. The cleanliness was mostly good, but I did notice a few minor issues, like some left bottle under the bed. Rooms weren't very soundproof and could hear noises from neighboring room which made it harder to relax at times. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for great service and a prime location, will def come back

Great location. However, it is some distance from Ximen station. Can be challenging to walk from Ximen station with big luggage. Room is very small. Not possible to open a luggage without blocking walk way. The cupboard is behind the door and there is a door stopper in the middle of the walkway to prevent the door from hitting the cupboard. Seems dangerous to me as it is easy to knock over it. Toilet is ok. Toilet bowl has a bidet. Shower water pressure is good. Constant hot water.

We stayed for four nights at Ximen Hotel in Ximending. While the location is excellent—right in the heart of the bustling district with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport—the overall experience left much to be desired. The hotel building is old, and while our room was designated non-smoking, it had a lingering cigarette smell, which was unpleasant. The amenities were basic and average at best, and the price, though reasonable, did not compensate for the issues we encountered. One major concern was that my wife got bitten by bed bugs on our last night, which was extremely disappointing and concerning. Additionally, the soundproofing was poor—we could hear street noise and sounds from other rooms, making it difficult to relax. Overall, while the location is undeniably convenient, the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and adequate soundproofing means we would not book this hotel again.

I booked this extension for 8hrs only and will not stay overnight i asked the reception initially what is our current room, and they said its standard double room, so i said i will book here at trip.com. After i booked i called again and told them that i already paid online, and they said that the room i booked is not the same room so i have to go out and check in again at 3PM, thats why i asked them initially for our room, and they said i still have to pay addl 400, i said its just a few hrs i paid 1 night online and will not stay overnight and still wants me to check out and check in again at 3PM and pay addl? And they said they will ask again their manager. They called and agreed in the end. The room is clean as they knock to clean it everyday and their towels are also white clean. Although the bed is low like japanese style maybe

Check-in was slow and the procedure was complicated. The only benefit was that I didn't have to pay a deposit. I took a shower at 10:30 pm. Halfway through the shower, the water was cut off. But when I switched to hot water, the water was very strong. Although the weather was good for two days, you can't let me take a super hot shower, right? I wanted to use the room phone to call the counter, but the phone was broken. I had to go downstairs to tell the counter, but the gentleman at the counter said it was impossible? ! Later, he also came up to check. Since it was more than 10 or 11 pm, the technicians were off work, so no one could help me check. The gentleman at the counter said that I could go to another room to take a shower, and return the key to him after the shower! Do we have to get the key to go to another room to take a shower if we want to take a shower? That's not very troublesome? We are a four-person room. Does everyone have to get the key to go to another room to take a shower? I didn't feel that they were sorry at all! At least give us a free breakfast coupon or something? Or help us upgrade the room for free! But there was nothing 😑

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***. At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage. Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***… Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

Good hotel, comfortable family room. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. 15mins walking distance to Ximending walking street, very near to a 24hrs carrefour which is just diagonal to the hotel (crossing 1 big road). Free “all you can eat” snacks for hotel guests, the kids were super happy and enjoying.
