Hotel Troense

Troense is absolutely beautiful: lovely old well-kept houses, scenic harbour views and walks - the hotel is at the right location and that is what you actually pay for. But at EU 166 per night incl breakfasts it is overrated and grossly overpriced: a spartanic tiny stuffy room directly next to the street - with the late summer temperatures we had to open a window / street noise all night long plus the constant banging of the heavy room doors plus noisy loudmouths near our window = 2 lousy nights. By the way, I did nicely ask for a ‘quiet’ room when I originally booked. The dining area and restaurant smelled stale & fishy - hadn’t been ventilation for a while

Excellent location with beautiful views. Great walks in the area. Friendly staff, clean rooms and tasty food. It is right next to the small harbour Troense Havn. The hotel is a good place to stay if you want to go on trips around Sydfyn.

We stayed one night on a road trip to the southern Funen area. The hotel is beautifully situated in the small maritime town of Troense, and with a great view of the Svendborg Strait. Our modern room was located in a quiet side wing. Outside we had a small terrace with a couple of chairs and a table, making it possible to enjoy a sunny afternoon. The room was reasonably clean with a comfortable bed and two nice armchairs, nothing fancy but everything we needed for a short stay. Our stay included a three course dinner in the restaurant with a great view of the Strait. The food was of high quality with an extensive wine list to match. Breakfast was also good with several hot and cold choices, and we enjoyed our stay here.

Reception /checkin was smooth. Our room was spotless with extra pillows and towels. Lovely little private patio with view to wooded area. Comfortable beds. The area is lovely and totally idyllic for the stressed! Breakfast buffet excellent. There will POSITIVELY be another stay.

We booked a one-night stay with a 5-course menu in the evening and breakfast next morning. The room appeared new and clean with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. No view, but that did not make a difference to us, as we spend most of our time walking outside, and enjoying the nice restaurant. Troense is a small but beautiful seaside village. Lot's of nice houses to look at and plenty of waterfront with fantastic views. The hotel fits right in, with a perfect location overlooking the water and the small harbor. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Vidunderligt sted og med den kønneste udsigt i Danmark. Specielle værelser med fantastisk atmosfære.

Bortset fra regnvejret ,dejligt ophold go mad og morgenmadsbuffet, kunne godt tænker noget bedre kaffe

Jeg synes kvaliteten af sengen, det nedslidte og noget beskidte værelse var skuffende til prisen. Morgenmaden var Ok, men udvalget var tyndt.

Die Bungalows hätten aussen dringend eine Reinigung nötig! Alles voller Spinnweben, Laub, Dreck! Eine Zimmerreinigung fand während unseres Aufenthalts von 8 Nächten nicht statt. Wir finden, es sollte mehr sein als nur Nachfüllen von WC-Papier und Teebeuteln/Kaffeesticks. Die Betten wurden sehr flüchtig gemacht. Kein Getränkeautomat, keine Minibar. Abends ab 21 Uhr alles zu. Recht kleine Auswahl im Restaurant (à la carte), total überteuert! Wer hier nach dem Essen einen Espresso geniessen möchte, wird enttäuscht. Nur Filterkaffee erhältlich. Der Speisesaal mit weissen Tischdecken und Blumen, mit schöner Aussicht auf den kleinen Hafen, gefiel uns daher nur beim Frühstück (Buffet) richtig. Zwischen den bescheidenen Bungalows und der gehobenen Preisklasse im Restaurant besteht eine beachtliche Diskrepanz! Positiv: grosser Parkplatz, nettes Personal (der Chef weniger), superschnelles Wlan. Highlight: das Reh, das bis auf die Terrasse kam und sich fotografieren liess.
