Hotel Family-friendly Suzhou

We were really impressed the moment we stepped in the hotel. It was beautiful, marvelous, and has an extremely great view. There was a tourist atrraction Pan Men just right behind the hotel, which we can just walk in free with our hotel card. There were performances at night as well. Down side of the hotel is that some of the facilities are a bit old (hot & cold tap water are separated), water kettle was a bit dirty (but they changed a clean one for us after we requested), aircon couldnt be adjusted coz centralised.. but all these are not big issues. The staffs are very polite, friendly & helpful. Need to give credit to the concierge staffs who helped with all our baggages up and down our cars. It's definitely worth while and a memorable stay. Highly recommended.

The third stay for me in this hotel. I keep coming back because everything works very well here. The staff is friendly and professional. Location is great, there is a big shopping mall across the street and metro lines 3 and 1 are also nearby. I liked the large breakfast buffet, especially the noodle station. The room was maybe a bit old but large and quiet. Excellent price/quality.

Excellent location, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and facing the lake boardwalk. The hotel is solid and traditional in its style, typical of the decade it was constructed. Front staff spoke English, they were polite, however, I was annoyed as they didn’t have my room available till 16:30, only smoking rooms were available earlier, surprised this brand has those rooms types available in 2024! Nevertheless, they upgraded me, and left fruit in the room. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, view was stunning and the round bath tub was ginormous! Breakfast was ok, not as extensive as other InterContinentals, but sufficient. Swimming pool is massive, and open till 23:00, which I’m grateful for. They are slow in releasing the deposit which should be credited on checkout, I didn’t receive it till the following day, that is not acceptable. So some minor issues but overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

We spend one night at the hotel and liked it a lot. Very nice traditional chinese elements in their design, good and well known local Suzhou restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel (even a lot of non hotel guests would go to enjoy the local food here). Nicely located at the lake, whereas also being very close to the city center with the huge, new, luxury shopping mall in walking distance. The hotel has a little garden itself in which you can walk around. Rooms are specious and well designed. Service is attentive as well.

The hotel is in an outstanding location around the lake. Also close by are some shopping malls. The metro is a foot walk away that you can go everywhere. The bar inside offers good cocktail for a reasonable price. The highlight is definitely the breakfast. Large buffet and everything is offered from western style and China style. Will go there again.

Thank you for delivering W standards wherever whenever 😁 Just perhaps one remark: Despite my more than three years of living in China, I still haven't managed to understand this obsession with swimming hats (is it a legal requirement unique to China?). I hadn't taken two steps out of the swimming pool changing room when the lifeguard almost impulsively asked me if I had taken my swimming hat (which I did btw). For a hotel like the W where the young, modern clientele uses the pool mainly for leisure and taking photos, I find it really old-fashioned to insist on a swimming hat. Why wouldn't the three lifeguards (a bit much for an indoor pool) rather take care of cleaning up the few hairs that float on the surface? A word to the wise...

An old five-star hotel with quaint decoration and convenient transportation. The Suzhou cuisine in the restaurant on the first floor is delicious. The hotel is very considerate whether it is the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping department or service. The mineral water provided by the front desk is warm, and there are candies for children. The room is clean and tidy. The electric toilet, bathtub and toiletries in the bathroom are very clean. The service is considerate and thoughtful. I stayed for three days. The buffet breakfast is complete and delicious. When I left, I was given water to drink on the way. The sincerity and details are full. If you take your baby on vacation, it is very convenient to eat and stay. There is an old noodle restaurant opposite that is also delicious! I will live in Xiangxuehai when I come to Suzhou in the future! The children like it too! Special thanks to everyone at the front desk and Manager Zhang Yulan of the catering department for their considerate and thoughtful service!

Our overall stay at Park Hyatt was definitely memorable. The service was wonderful, the staff were helpful and kind, the facilities were exceptional. I would like to mention Betty, Shaw, Adolph, Vivian and Nick for being such amazing staff! Betty and Shaw made sure we received complimentary cake and wine in celebration of our anniversary. They were so responsive with our questions and are always ready to help. Adolph and Vivian assisted us with checking in and reception. We can’t speak Chinese well but they communicated with us in English which made our stay even better. They also helped us book our dinner reservation. Nick was the manager at apartment 208 where we had dinner. There were complications at first but Nick was able to handle everything well. He was also super kind and respectful. Our stay was almost perfect except for the fact that there was another guest who was blowing his nose, coughing and spitting in the pool which was a turn off for us. We decided not to use the pool anymore. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for couples, friends and family who need a wonderful staycation.

Such a friendly hotel and much better value for money than some of the big names. Room was really big and very clean, bathroom a little old but spotless. As a family of four this was a good choice for us. The staff were lovely, they honestly put some of the 5* to shame, they were really helpful with everything. Breakfast is fine if you are happy with Chinese food, lots of choice for this (there were some western options) and happy to share a table. Beds were a little on the hard side for anyone not from China but fine. Overall we had a great stay and at a very reasonable price. There is a big free car park too which really helps if you are driving. There is also a metro station a very short walk away. There was a bowl of fruit and a lot of bottled water and ample toiletries. Would definitely stay again, a good wallet-friendly option.

Whenever one is visiting Suzhou, this hotel is the ideal location as it is between Jinji Lake (with its cafes and spectacular views from Moon Harbor) and Pingjiang Historical Street (with its incredible architecture and shops). The staff are very friendly and make an effort to be supportive to travelers comfort, special mention to Jessica Jiang and Anas.
