"The pillow was terrible and I got really bad neck ache. The Japanese receptionist keeps calling foreign stuff to talk to me although I speak Japanese. Not needed. Felt awkward. Also foreign stuff should be more professional and not talking about private stuff. All in all welcoming atmosphere."

"My son and I took a road trip to Awaji Island and soaked in an onsen (hot spring). It was a fantastic onsen hotel. From the moment we got out of the car, someone proactively took our luggage and then escorted us to our room, explaining the facilities and important information. We could even choose our preferred yukata color. Dinner was a generous and delicious kaiseki meal featuring local ingredients – we were very full and satisfied! 😊😊 We stayed in an ocean-view room, facing the sea. I especially loved the beanbag chair in the room – perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. 👍👍 Definitely worth staying here again."

"We stayed in a Western-style room with an ocean view. The wooden floor made for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was a unit type, but it wasn't as cramped as those in business hotels. We were able to take a bath comfortably. The double bed was spacious and low in height, allowing us to sleep soundly. The area that could be converted into an extra bed was convenient for storing luggage. For the set menu breakfast, we could choose between seaweed or natto (fermented soybeans). The menu items were ordinary, but the food was prepared with nutritional balance in mind and tasted delicious. We visited in winter, so the BBQ facilities were closed. I would like to revisit during the season when BBQ is at its best."

"It was a Japanese holiday, so the hotel was fully booked, and prices were 40% higher than usual. A four-person room with two meals cost about USD 770, which wasn't cheap at all, so I was really looking forward to it. However, the kaiseki dinner was very average, the worst meal I've had in recent years. Breakfast was a buffet from 7:00 to 9:00, and when we arrived at 8:15, there were still 20 people in line. We ended up waiting for half an hour to get a seat, which felt unprofessional. There were also facilities for children, which were quite special."

"What to say about Kaiyu ?! That we were so pleasantly surprised by the place in itself. A former business hotel which was transformed by Mitsu and his family into a warm cosy, with a sustainable spirit, and finely decorated place while keeping the original structure. Each room has its personality and every room has a wonderful view on the Oki beach. The welcome was very warm and simple at the same time. The onsen was just pure hapiness ! Sharing moments and meals with Mitsu, his family and the other guests was sincerely joyful and invigorating, with a special mention to Tae who cooks divinely well. We did feel like home. And we do also hope to stay there again in the future ! Thank you Mitsu, Tae, Kazu & Marie. From the bottom of our heart, Juliette & Eric"

Suami saya pernah ke sana untuk perjalanan bisnis dan mengatakan hotel itu bagus, jadi saya dan ibu saya pergi untuk liburan keluarga satu malam.
