Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Erie

We have stayed at this hotel for a few years and the condition of it continues to deteriorate. Although the window valences and sofa bed are new, the rest of the room remains dated with damages. We had to call for a plunger because our toilet would not flush. We had no sheets or pillowcases to make the sofa bed. Jette's tub had damages. Dishwasher was phikthy. We have decided that this will be our last stay at this hotel. Open to revisiting only if they undergo a major renovation.

We stay at this location frequently. We love that they have two bedroom suites, which is hard to find. The hotel is always in good condition and the pool is nice and warm. My only complaint is the breakfast area is so small and is always so chaotic because this hotel is popular. There isn’t much they can do about that without a major renovation, but just a note. The breakfast is always good, just packed area. :) We stay with splash lagoon packages and without so you can’t go wrong either way, just be prepared for the kids to want to go to splash lagoon if you didn’t book a package ha

Definitely a chaotic place with all the families! Appears to be a newer facility yet needs updating. Convenience at Splash Lagoon is the only positive I'd say

Staff was friendly, pool/hot tub area very nice. TV didn't work correctly with the remote, burned out lights, kitchen sink leaking ...a lot...had to put a bucket underneath. Maintenance worker was unable to fix the problem. Telephone only worked if the cord was held in a particular direction.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Late check in do to a dirty room. got bit by something SEVEN times on my hand toilet clogged took two phone calls to get a plunger up. People smoking pot all we could smell. Barely slept the two days we were there. The rooms LOOK nice b it they're so uncomfortable even the couch and chair.

The staff did little to manage the swimming pool area, and the conduct of other guests was extremely poor and ruined the experience that we had as a result.

The hotel needs some updating. The walls and ceiling are very thin and the room above us were constantly jumping and it sounded like they were going to fall through. The showers and bathrooms in general could have been cleaner. Beds were very comfortable!

The room was dirty there was tobacco and natural along with long wrap till it was dirty really bad

Upon arrival we were put in the wrong room, half of our stuff was lost for over an hour until it was found and brought to our room, the furniture in the room was not clean the bed in the colon space i had to call and ask for sheets for the bed and make it myself . We also found dirty dishes in the dishwasher and cereal in our beds and on the floor by the fire place.the cabinets in the kitchen literally are dry rotting and falling off. Our rooms HVAC system was stuck on air conditioning in december. I understand being fully booked and understaffed however we would of waited longer to ensure that I didn't feel like I had house chores to do upon arrival.
