"North western Tasmania has the cleanest air in the world. Imagine then to walk into your accommodation and it smells musty and damp! Worse, there were scented candles in our room to try and cover up the smell!!!! Our room was also very noisy as it opened directly off the common living area and underneath the wooden stairs up to the room upstairs. Couldn't even make a cup of tea to sooth our souls as we were only provided with two teabags - one english breakfast and the other green. All round a disappointing experience on what was otherwise a fabulous holiday"

"The room is very close to Godfrey Beach, just a two-minute walk from the classic spot for watching little penguins. It's also very close to The Nut, right next door. The house is a private residence, and the accommodation is in one of the rooms. The room is a very typical traditional wooden structure, very clean, and the bedding was excellent. My room had a private bathroom, was very clean and spacious. There's no dedicated front desk staff, but they leave room directions and the key in an envelope by the door. Check-in and check-out were very convenient. Sitting on the porch in front of the house, enjoying some tea and the sea breeze was incredibly pleasant."

"We stayed in April at the Ship Inn for a very special family birthday celebration. We booked several rooms. Our family members are all experienced and regular travelers both in Australia and overseas. We all felt the Ship Inn was an excellent place to stay. It ranks amongst the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The suites are extremely well designed and have exceptional facilities. The guest lounge is a real bonus as we took advantage of this room to collectively meet for drinks and casual eats in the well-equipped little kitchen/dining area and then relaxed in the adjoining stunning lounge. The house staff were also very friendly and lovely to us. The gardens and landscaping are incredible and extremely beautiful. We would like to thank Kerry and Alaistair as the amazing hosts and owners of this property. We all felt very welcomed and the nice extra touches such as having a little welcome card in each room as part of the family group was a lovely thought. The hosts certainly went out of their way to make the celebration special for my son who turned 40 and our family group who came from within and outside of the state for the celebration. Thank you so much."
