Ulasan Hyatt Regency Malta

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Malta from 22 to 28 May 2025, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Hyatt property. On the first night, the sink was completely blocked, making basic hygiene difficult. While showering late at night, the cover of the shower knob kept falling off, and the water temperature was uncontrollably hot. I was nearly burned for over an hour and had no choice but to wash my hair in the sink and wipe the soap off with a towel. This was not only unsafe but humiliating—completely unacceptable for a so-called 5-star hotel. I reported the issue and was promised a full refund for one night by the hotel manager. However, I never received a confirmation email, and now, days later, no refund has been issued. When I asked about it at checkout, the staff simply said, “We are a 5-star hotel, we don’t lie”—yet here we are with no follow-up. Room service was painfully slow. I had to wait over an hour just to get a laundry bag and a toothbrush. For a brand like Hyatt, this is embarrassing. Communication and service were inconsistent and dismissive, with staff appearing indifferent to serious guest concerns. I have stayed at several Hyatt Regency properties before and expected a level of professionalism and care. Sadly, Hyatt Regency Malta has failed to meet even the most basic standards of safety and service. I strongly do not recommend staying here unless significant changes are made. Guests deserve better.

I had really good time in Hyatt regency hotel. Room was neat and clean. They give me useful tips regaring travel around. In additition, host who is called “Hoque” treated me kindly while I was waiting in the lounge. I was impressed !

Enjoyable stay. Breakfast is the highlight. A more business feel to the hotel - great if you are avoiding too many kids! Pool upstairs nice - with lounger service with a buzzer. Club lounge not great - underground and completely silent (felt odd) maybe some music would help.

It was a pleasant stay in a clean and well-maintained room, just a 10-minute walk from the bus station.

Breakfast is good, it’s a clean hotel, but service has room to improve as a 5 star hotel. The room literally don’t have a good view, which is quite disappointing. The location of St. Julian is not that good, not as convenient as at Selima, and this hotel is on a little hill, you will not like to walk outside to buy something.

Overall outatstandijg wuality of services provided during stay! We've been a family with 2 kids and enjoyed our stay at Calm Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Really lovely hotel. Clean. Great location. Close enough to all the great attractions and shops but far enough from all the noise so you still get a great night's sleep. Fantastic service from everyone at Hyatt from the receptionists (Ben and I didn't get the name of the lady who worked with him but I think it may have been Laura?) to the doorman Hoque. Would highly recommend. PS lovely sunset from the 11th floor where the pool is

The hotel is very new, and modern facility. The 65inch TV can be connected to mobile phone Youtube, and you can enjoy it when back to hotel. The service was excellent, and in particular to Hoque, who provided a home welcoming feeling after 18 hour long flight from Asia. On Christmas Day, the hotel restaurant was fully booked. Hoque helped us arrange a seat in the bar. And we had a wonderful Christmas dinner there. This hotel is highly recommended. Regarding the transportation, if you are willing to call Uber, this location definitely is not an issue.

Valentina helped and provided everything that we needed, she arrange for our pick up from the airport and responds to queries very quickly

Reception staffs are very nice and patient. Room is clean, breakfast good.

Location is good. But the housekeeping is not good.

Hotel very much what you would expect from Hyatt. Clean rooms with quality furnishings. Entrance is up a steep hill or via shopping centre. Hotel is quite noisy as balconies face on to another and lack a little privacy. We were disappointed to have noisy neighbours. Security asked them to quieten down but perhaps a room move or discount at end of our stay would have been appropriate.
