"This was a unplanned morning of stay booking that broke up a 6 hour journey. This pub stay was 2 hours from our destination. The Room is lovely, only down side is heat due to it being a hot day which isn’t the pubs fault. Unfortunately they have no availability on our return journey which we would have left our holiday a day earlier on the coast to have a return stop on the way home. Staff are lovely and food is great."

"What a lovely place and a welcoming and friendly couple who run it. I was let down very late at a different hotel and they were able to help me out late on. Rooms are lovely, the house is beautiful with lots of history, there’s parking available, it’s right in the centre close to shops and restaurants and the breakfast is excellent. I will return!"

"We were married at the venue in September 2024 and our dealings with the hotel management team from the initial meeting onwards allowed us together to create our perfect wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and everything during the day flowed perfectly for us and our guests. We were able to offer an excellent choice of menu catering for all tastes which was enjoyed by all. Our chosen decor was presented immaculately and expertly. The whole event which we had planned far exceeded our expectations and we and our guests had an amazing day."

"My husband and I had a lovely stay at The Red Lion made all the more better by the friendly and welcoming staff. They were helpful, attentive and efficient. Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. And, thanks Chef for a fabulous meal. The Red Lion does not do breakfast but in the rooms there is a microwave and toaster should anyone want to bring their own. However, if you don't want to do that, then go to the Coffee Lounge on High Street for a bacon buttie. Holbeach is a lovely town and a good stop off point en route to parts of Norfolk. "
