Hotel Spa di Yangshuo

Booking and Check-In I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy. Room Details We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Facilities and Services The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it. Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew. Location and Accessibility The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo. Customer Service The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay. Overall Experience The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness. In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

The hotel is in a good location and is very easy to find. It is just a few dozen meters ahead of Haruki Murakami. There is a parking lot, which is very convenient. As soon as I got off the car, the brother and sister at the front desk came to pick up my luggage. The service was very good! The hotel has an elevator, which is very convenient for going up and down the stairs. The room is clean and bright, and it is super cool to watch movies on the big screen. It is so comfortable to sit on the balcony, drink tea, and enjoy the breeze. The breakfast is very rich, but it is a pity that I forgot to take pictures. The sister in the restaurant is very enthusiastic. If you don’t like boiled eggs, she can help you make fried eggs. The corn, sweet potato and rice noodles are very nutritious, and there is also soy milk. The restaurant only serves local dishes, which taste very good. The vegetables are picked by grandpa and grandma in the vegetable fields in the morning. There is also Western food! The most convenient way to get to the hotel is to book tickets. The price is great.

Service: The young man at the front desk of the hotel is very proactive and enthusiastic. He will take the initiative to ask guests about their needs and respond to their requests without getting tired of it. Anyway, you can always see him when you need him. His service attitude is very good! Environment: It is on the side of the road, the location is a bit remote and a little deserted. The hotel is large and the environment inside is OK, but the layout between the parking lot and the hotel makes it a bit difficult to check in. The front desk beauty should call in advance to guide how to check in and how to park, otherwise it will definitely be a mess for the first time. Room: A newly opened hotel, the bedding and sofa are clean, comfortable and reassuring. I like the decoration style very much. The balcony yard with a bathtub is great, the photos are beautiful, and the room is very comfortable. The only thing I think is not good is that the wall of the balcony in the yard is too solid and too high, and the sight is completely blocked and a little depressing. But overall it is still good and worth recommending!

Room view vs Customer Service. Pros : Credit to the lady who spoke English at the reception. She is a gem to the hotel, she went the extra miles to ensure our plans went well. Perfect, Xiaojie ! Becoz of her, we are willing to give 5 stars ! Cons : Lake view, almost fully blocked by the roof of the restaurant below, which is a total disappointment ! Neverthe less, stunning mountain view. Room tips : Go for a higher floor, the lake view might be slightly better. Do add some fake grass carpet over the roof for a more pleasant sight.

Facilities: A bit old, after all, the hotel opened in 2017. But the hotel is considered large in Yangshuo. You don't have to leave the hotel, just like in a tourist attraction. Environment: The most attractive thing is that you can see the Yulong River from the hotel. Many bamboo rafts pass by, which is very impressive. Hygiene: The hygiene is average. Service: The service is very enthusiastic, especially the receptionist. She smiles and answers all questions.

Really enjoyed this stay! View was beautiful and matched the pictures. The room was spacious, clean, and modern. Service was friendly and helpful. They can help you book a morning bus to and from Xianggong Mountain to see the sunrise. Would book again!

The room environment is good, there is an outdoor swimming pool and Genting Restaurant, and the underground garage is also very good. The food in Genting Restaurant is especially delicious. There are also many entertainment venues in the lobby on the first floor. There is also a projector in the room for watching TV series, and electric cars are available for rent, which is very convenient. The lady at the front desk is also very enthusiastic. You can eat at Genting Restaurant and take such beautiful photos. I approve of this hotel very much. I will definitely come here next time I come to play!

Amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful! Front entrance and lobby is really nice and big. The hotel is brand new so everything is clean and new. We had a balcony view and it was great. There was free afternoon tea for us. There’s also a laundry room. Staff was super friendly and nice. They also gave us a complimentary goodbye gift with candy and a cup as we checked out! Overall definitely recommend this spot as it’s also close to Yangshuo West street (10-15 min) walking

There are so many hotels and homestays in Yangshuo. I spent a long time choosing online and found that this Riverside Courtyard Hotel is the closest to the Yulong River. Each room has a balcony facing the river. What impressed me most was the free travel photography service. The photographer was very considerate and helped us take a lot of natural and beautiful photos. The hotel also arranged non-legacy hand-made activities. The hands-on process was very interesting and the finished products were also very memorable. The cats and rabbits in the hotel are very cute, and the children had a lot of fun. The scenery on the rooftop terrace is even more beautiful, with picturesque mountains and rivers, which makes people linger. I will come again next time!

Perfect location and the views were incredible from the rooms. The hotel is very luxurious and the pedestrian street is just downstairs. Hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
