Castillo Hotel Son Vida, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mallorca

環境優雅城堡酒店位於環抱的山景之中可眺望大海，酒店中的設施古典與現代裝飾相得益彰，周邊有五個高爾夫球場，露天及室內遊池，花園也很精緻。有很多中世紀及文藝復興名畫真跡如委拉‘斯凱茲的《西班牙國王菲利四世》的肖像。這裡是達官貴人社會名流的必行之地，如摩洛哥國王王妃，西班牙國王家族成員，也是我國己故國家主席李先念一九八四年的下榻官方接待國賓酒店。

酒店態度非常強勢，我們帶者孩子無法入住，酒店經理説的很好聽説幫我們找他們旗下的其他酒店，但是最終什麼也沒有實現。 最終我們衹能自己再定其他酒店去住。我們的訴求就是讓攜程協調退定，然後把費用退回，但是跟攜程協調了3 天最終就是不退費。然後他們補償一部分費用給我們。這如何能接受！ 至今為止這件事情還是沒有解決，攜程這邊也是不斷的換人。沒有解決問題！

SERVICE NICHT AUF 5 Sterne NIVEAU Das Hotel Castillo Son Vida liegt wunderschön auf einem Hügel und bietet einen herrlichen Ausblick. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Personal war freundlich. Besonders für Golfspieler ist die Umgebung ideal, da es zahlreiche Golfclubs in der Nähe gibt. Das Essen an der Poolbar war lecker und hat unseren Aufenthalt kulinarisch bereichert. Leider konnten wir insgesamt jedoch keine fünf Sterne vergeben. Der Service war enttäuschend und nicht dem Standard eines Fünf-Sterne-Hotels entsprechend. Unser Aufenthalt wurde stark beeinträchtigt, da das Nachbarzimmer ständig geraucht hat und der Rauch in unser Zimmer drang. Auf unsere Beschwerde hin wurde uns lediglich ein schlechteres Zimmer als Lösung angeboten. Andere Lösungen wurden uns nicht angeboten, weshalb wir das Hotel nach nur einem Tag verlassen mussten. Den beiden Damen schien es auch egal zu sein, dass man so derart unzufrieden sei. Insgesamt waren die Vorteile des Hotels durch die erheblichen Mängel im Service und die unzureichende Problemlösung leider nicht ausreichend, um unseren Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten.

We visited your hotel today after our last experience was excellent a few months ago. The bar area was closed so we tried the bar area near the pool. Choosing a bottle of Rioja wine from your wine list the waiter came over and told us 'no we offer you a superior wine' at €45 per bottle. We thought the waiter knows his wine. Unfortunately the offer was inferior ending up with a bottle of Muga Rosado 2023 at an increased price to what we chose. I asked for the bill to the waiter which was never presented and i paid at the bar since we had an other appointment. Sorry but as a 5☆ hotel you trust the wine you deliver is of higher standard especially since its was recommended. Sad but true, not sure i will return to this hotel.

Castillo Hotel Son Vida is a beautiful luxury hotel near the city of Palma on the gorgeous Spanish island of Mallorca. This is a luxury hotel our room was excellent a perfect size for a couple staying for 2 nights. Breakfast was fabulous with a very extensive offering of fruit, juices, hot and cold food, delicious bread and cakes and pastries. In fact a breakfast at the Castillo Son Vida is so satisfying it can easily keep you going until your evening meal in the restaurant. The highly professional staff are always on hand with any question or requirement.

A lovely old building, with lots of old paintings etc inside to enjoy, but we experienced quite a few problems. We booked a 2-week holiday at this hotel, half-board. We were not told on booking that ‘half-board’ apparently meant a very limited menu (most of which I could not eat, due to allergies). We were presented with this on about our third day, having eaten from the a la carte menu until then. Even the a la carte menu is quite limited, but the one we were asked to choose from only had 2 Choices per course! We contacted our travel agent, who got in touch with the hotel and told us it was sorted out, and we could choose from the a la carte menu each evening in future; however, this did not seem to have been conveyed to the restaurant staff, who kept telling us each evening to choose from the limited menu. This was very embarrassing when done in front of other guests. We had asked for a quiet room (having booked a grand deluxe with a sea view), but we were given a room directly over the bar, overlooking the main terrace where entertainment took place most evenings, and where large gatherings of visiting groups were held. It did have a beautiful view over the bay, though. There were many large groups in the hotel while we were there, which we had not been warned about, and some of which were quite disruptive. When the large groups ate at the hotel, it meant the service to ‘’normal’ guests like us was not very good, as priority seemed to be given to the groups. There was one large (210 guests) wedding, with a very loud group playing near the restaurant where we were trying to have a nice quiet meal. Apparently a wedding is held there every 2 weeks. On the day we left, 280 delegates arrived from the USA for a conference. We were VERY glad to be leaving! So if you are thinking of booking here for a peaceful couples holiday, it might be worth checking beforehand what other plans the hotel has for that period.

I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and have returned to stay again currently. Our first visit was excellent. The location of the hotel was ideal, excellent food and facilities, with attentive and friendly service. Marriott Elite recognition was great and I was given a tour of the hotel and escorted to my room. Based on that stay, this hotel has earned its 5* rating. A few weeks later, it feels like an entirely different hotel. The service has degraded to a very poor quality. All of the problems are easily rectifiable. Any of these alone wouldn’t be an issue but the consistent nature makes the whole experience unpleasant. - Front desk on arrival promised to phone when the room was ready for checkin but never did. - The room was then configured as a double instead of a twin despite discussing with the hotel days prior - Service at breakfast is erratic and poor. At our last stay, orange juice was topped up regularly. Currently, you are lucky to get a single glass poured in the entire time you are seated. - One morning I asked for milk to go with coffee three times and it was never delivered. - Concierge have gone from being very responsive (within a few hours by email) to taking days and multiple follow ups to make reservations. I am still waiting for a booking to be made that I requested days ago. - Again, poolside service is poor. I asked for a menu which was never provided and ended up walking to the restaurant for lunch. I will say that elite recognition is generally good here. Status was acknowledged on check in. On my first stay I was given a welcome gift, drinks voucher, and spa voucher. On this stay, I was only given the welcome gift. The hotel is busier and has clearly had to recruit large numbers of staff in a short amount of time. It’s understandable that there are some teething problems at the start of the season but it really does make me not want to return again next month.

Wonderful property and amazing staff! The location is a little far out from the city but the grounds and pool was perfect. The staff at the pool and restaurants were wonderful and very attentive after a few calls were made.
