Very good homestay! A great location to watch the sunrise over the terraced fields. The decoration of the B&B is very unique, clean and sanitary, the bedding is comfortable, especially the pillows (the most comfortable pillows among several B&Bs on this trip, with a texture similar to that of latex pillows and good rebound), and the bath water is also very good. The boss responded promptly and was very enthusiastic. There are 3 cats in the B&B, and the children are very happy. I will stay at this hotel again when I come to Yuanyang.

This hotel offers a spectacular view of the rice plain terraces. It is also very quiet and peaceful, suitable for those who wants a short getaway from the bustling city. This time I went to Yuanyang to see the terraced fields. I looked at several homestays on Ctrip and finally booked Yifangyuandian. The homestay, Yuntu and Huawowo are all on the hillside cliff of Duoyishu terraced fields. The viewing position is excellent, almost the same as the view from the viewing platform of Duoyishu Scenic Area. The terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows in the room face the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. There is no need to squeeze into the observation deck in the morning. The proprietress was also very welcoming. After she made a phone call when she got to the main road, she drove a small electric car to help with the luggage. The homestay also provides stir-fried dishes at a reasonable price. I will stay at her house next time I come to the terraced fields.

We chose to stay here to see the terraced fields. We were satisfied. We stayed in a ground floor courtyard room. The room was very large and the bedding was clean. We checked in in mid-February. Xiaoyun kindly turned on the electric heater for us. She also reminded us at around 6 that the restaurant would close at 8. She showed us the sunrise and sunset guide. We stayed above the terraced fields. The scenery was very pleasant. We could walk into the restaurant in one step. The breakfast was also very rich. The hotel's additional tickets were worth it. We walked in from the small path in the hotel, which was very convenient. The scenery was great, the price was right, and the service was considerate. Thanks to Xiaoyun for the hospitality. This was a really unexpected find in the villages around the Yuanyang rice terraces. The building itself is really beautiful and directing overlooks the terraces. The room was surprisingly large and the floor to ceiling window offers a great view(weather permitting). The bed was super comfortable and shower hot and powerful. The best part was the sister who works here; she couldnât have been more helpful, even walking us to the nearby village to find a place to eat. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The only downside(and I know itâs a bit of a sensitive issue) is the lack of air conditioning in the room. Even at the end of June it isnât hot around Yuanyang, but it is very humid and air conditioning could definitely help with the latter. That being said, I slept well with the window open and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

When you arrive at the hotel, you will feel a high-end atmosphere. Frontdesk is very good, skilled in business, and polite in language. When you enter the room, you will find the hygiene is very meticulous, and the bedding is very comfortable. All the items have been carefully selected for a good match and overall very good. It really impressed us. The decoration is pretty good, everything is good, and it's worth the money and good even for longer stay. It can be seen that the management level is high.

With a faint aroma of coffee, Tingshan Lodge is a combination of coffee and homestay. The accommodation environment is hygienic and clean, and it is especially quiet at night. There is a parking lot in the village downstairs, and the Duoyishu Observation Deck is very close. I went to the free one recommended by the boss. Looking at the Sunrise Square, it is very beautiful now. The inn is located in the center of the scenic spot, and it is cost-effective. The front desk on the first floor is a coffee space full of stories. This is how life should be, casual and enjoyable~

ZzuriahI would say everything was great except the room.
Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. Itâs hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

SSteven DowsonQuite tricky to find, down a single lane road, but car parking available next to hotel (20 yuan). Very friendly and welcoming owner, everything very clean and thoughtful design of rooms and communal areas. Rooftop terrace perfect for star-gazing and sunrise - we booked a room with an east view which was lovely in the evening when we arrived but quickly got very warm in the morning, this would be great in winter but maybe the cool rooms on the other side of the hotel are better in summer. Excellent breakfast of noodles, very comfortable room and bed, the hotel is on the edge of an authentic village and we spent a few hours wandering around the rice terraces in the morning. Highly recommended.

UUU_315I got a very nice room during the Chinese New Year, but I missed the family room... The room price was within my acceptable range, not outrageous, but I think the girl at the front desk understood me very well and gave me a room with two large beds. My family of three lived very well, and the introduction to the terraced fields was also very good (there was also a picture, but I can't find it. I remember taking a lot of pictures, but I can't find it either). The guy led us to the small building where we lived, and helped with the luggage, which was nice! The building we lived in was very close to the hotel restaurant. My two fur babies said that the house was great, the food in the restaurant was also delicious, and the rice noodles for breakfast were good!
The frogs were by the rice field in front of the lobby. Because of the fog, I didn't Photoshop the picture, and it was also at night, but I didn't Photoshop the picture. There were seven of them.

XXiaoxiaomadeaotumanThe location of the B&B is unbeatable, just opposite the blue terraces. There are 7 parking spaces at the door. If you don't stay at the hotel, you are not allowed to park. The parking spaces next to it are 20 yuan per time (a bit dark). The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room can be clearly opened to see the entire terrace, which is very comfortable. The downside is that it is quite cold at night in the mountains. The air conditioner is a cheap brand with insufficient power. There is only one bed with an electric blanket in the family room, which is a bit cold. It was much better after taking a hot shower. In addition, the Hani owner of the B&B may have organized a bonfire party during the festival, and there were fireworks, which made up for the defect that there were no activities in the mountains at night. Overall, it was not bad.

GGuest UserWe loved our stay. It was Chinese New Year so it was a bit busy in the area, but our hotel was an oasis. We found the hotel staff helpful and accommodating. This hotel is a good location if you want to hike through the rice terraces and from village to village.

GGuest UserHighly recommend Jackie's guesthouse. It's a really beautiful location right by the rice paddies, nestled into his village. It was a big plus for us that he is fluent in English, so we could ask him lots of questions and he helped us alot. Thank you Jackie!
The area is a bit tricky to explore because they don't seem to do scooter rentals for foreigners. So you have to take these minivan taxi/bus things, which we experienced a lot of unpleasant haggling with. More of a taxi than a bus, at least for tourists. But it sure is beautiful and an interesting culture to get to know.

GGuest UserThe inn is located close to the sunrise viewing platform, about 10 minutes' walk away, which is quite convenient and successfully avoids traffic congestion, especially on holidays. The conditions of the inn are average, but very clean. The innkeeper is very nice. We wanted to hike with our children, and he recommended routes for us and took us through the places where we are most likely to get lost. Although the whole hiking process was a little regrettable, the whole family was very happy and satisfied. Let me talk about the boss's cooking skills. The food is really good and the portion is big. We, three adults and two children, had three dishes and one soup and were all full. In short, the two children were full of praise.

TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.

LLezaiyuzhiMaybe because it was the off-season, there was no one at the counter when we arrived in the afternoon, so we had to go back to the car and wait because of the rain. It wasn't until a little brother came back that he went upstairs and asked someone to check in. The room is average, but it is still clean, the hot water is not hot, fortunately it is summer now. The restaurant downstairs is closed, so it is inconvenient to eat. You have to drive to a nearby restaurant to eat. I don't know how the breakfast is, because the restaurant is not open, but an old lady should be the mother of the boss! They said they could cook it for me, but it didn't work for me. Generally speaking, I feel that it is not in business and I do not recommend staying here unless it reopens, but there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. The parking space is at the door, so you can park 3~4 cars!
