The service is very thoughtful. The B&B will proactively contact guests to inquire about their arrival time, and has established a 10-person service group so that every inquiry from guests can be responded to in a timely manner. The set menu we chose for dinner was reasonably priced and tasted very good. The scenery is very beautiful. You can enjoy the beauty of the terraced fields from the room, and you don’t have to squeeze with tourists on the observation deck at sunrise.
The B&B is a little far from the parking lot, mainly because the paths in the village are very steep. The shuttle bus is quite convenient and arrives in a few minutes, but try to avoid the peak departure time. I came and went in a hurry and forgot to experience the Hani costumes. I hope I have a chance next time 😂

Unfortunately, we encountered a cold wave in Yuanyang this time. There was sleet on the way up the mountain. The weather was quite regrettable. Without sunshine, we could not see the light and shadow terraces. But fortunately, the hotel has floor heating and air conditioning, which is still very comfortable even in such a cold weather. The most important thing for going up the mountain in winter is the facilities. The room you booked can also soak your feet, which is also a highlight. If the pool is bigger, it would be even better to soak in a medicinal bath. The butler service is very proactive. The two meals we had were also very good. The boss is also very nice and introduced a delicious beef restaurant. Next time I have the opportunity, I will stay a few more days and walk various hiking routes.

Canadian traveler stayed 3 nights in late September. Good breakfast. The resort is very nice, restaurant food dishes were tasty, services were excellent. Two rice terraces are within walking distance (Hani and Jiankou). Others are further out, you need to have your own transport.
Off season rates are very affordable. A bit off the off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasant stay in Hua wowo hotel. Air quality was super good there. It was the best place for watching the sunrising in the yard or in the room of the hotel, very nice view. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a quiet place for holidays. Hotel restaurant offered local planted vegetables and local raised fishes from the terraces. The owner and other staffs of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will choose the same hotel if we visit again.

I would say everything was great except the room.
Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

The hotel is in a good location, next to the Duoyishu viewing platform, with a wide view of the terraced fields. The hotel has an exclusive platform, so there is no need to go to the large viewing platform and squeeze with people.
The environment is clean and comfortable. Xiaoji at the front desk is gentle and polite, and the service is attentive and considerate. He reminds us to pay attention to safety when entering and leaving, and upgrades the viewing room for free. A souvenir-red rice was also given when checking out.
The room is simple and comfortable, with good sound insulation, clean and hygienic, but the automatic curtains fail to work and need to be manually adjusted. Fruits and snow fungus syrup were given when checking in.
The hotel breakfast is not a buffet. I guess there may not be many guests staying in the hotel, so it is a set meal to avoid waste. However, the breakfast portion is sufficient, and the rice noodles are delicious.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the stay. The service of the customer service brothers and restaurant sisters in other hotels is very good.

The B&B has a dedicated parking lot, which is a few hundred meters away from the B&B. There are steps and stone paths, and it is a test of physical strength to carry a lot of things. The B&B sister will help the guests carry their luggage. To be honest, it is hard to bear it. Fortunately, we don’t have suitcases and can basically solve it by ourselves. The B&B is located next to the terraced fields, with a good view, comfortable facilities, good hygiene, and good sound insulation and heat preservation of the balcony doors and windows. The only problem is that the room door is not soundproof. When a wave of ******* guests are unscrupulous, they continue to make loud noises upstairs and downstairs for several hours at night, affecting rest. You can eat in the B&B, which is very convenient. It is not easy to open a B&B in the mountains to be hygienic and comfortable, and there are several local Hani aunts and sisters employed. Full marks!

This time I went to Yuanyang to see the terraced fields. I looked at several homestays on Ctrip and finally booked Yifangyuandian. The homestay, Yuntu and Huawowo are all on the hillside cliff of Duoyishu terraced fields. The viewing position is excellent, almost the same as the view from the viewing platform of Duoyishu Scenic Area. The terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows in the room face the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. There is no need to squeeze into the observation deck in the morning. The proprietress was also very welcoming. After she made a phone call when she got to the main road, she drove a small electric car to help with the luggage. The homestay also provides stir-fried dishes at a reasonable price. I will stay at her house next time I come to the terraced fields.

Highly recommended hotel 👍 I choose Xiangdianju Hotel more than once, and I can feel the comfortable service every time I stay. The staff are very enthusiastic. After arriving at the store, there will be staff who will give an overview of the surrounding attractions. The staff explained it very considerately, which was very comfortable. They also helped to upgrade the room type. The cleanliness of the guest rooms is also amazing, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the city view comes into view. Sam is a great host, always kind and helpful, who speaks very good English and helped us to enjoy our stay at the hotel and explained hiking routes around the valleys.

GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

BBrownThis was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic 4 night stay at Rice Field Ideal Homestay. The room was very comfortable, with a great bed, and every time we looked out the window, we had to pinch ourselves because the view was absolutely stunning. The guesthouse is located just above the Blue Terrace, not far from Azheke Village (mushroom houses) and a few minutes drive from the Duoyishu Terrace. Xiao Gao, the owner, is a local. He took amazing care of us, upgraded us and made sure we had the best stay. When he realized we had no means of transportation, he drove us himself to various terraces and viewing points in his car.
Reaching Yuanyang can be a little tricky, so here is how we got there: we took a train from Kunming to Jianshui, and contacted Rice Field Ideal Homestay on WeChat to ask for a transfer by car. It cost 120 yuan/person, and the drive from Jianshui to the Blue Terrace took about 2.5 hours. Easy peasy.
We highly recommend staying there and hope to be back one day. Xiao Gao and all his family are amazing people.

Breakfast is also very local red rice noodles, which tastes good!
Dissatisfied: The service is slightly lacking, such as check-in reception and room arrangement differences, but it was resolved after communication.
Also, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows were too dirty and I couldn't see the outside scenery clearly.

FFabioOne of the best guesthouse we have bien so far in China! There is actually 2 jcky's guesthouse: one is brand new and wonderful and the other is closer to the terraces with an amazing view from its rooftop. Jacky was very kind and explain a lot about Hani culture and his dog was a very good guide 😂. Also Jacky speaks a perfect english so it's very convenient for foreigners.
I will come back for sure.

AAnonymous UserThe boss is a lady from Henan Province. She is very welcoming. Before I left, she introduced a chartered car driver to me and reserved an electric blanket for my room. After arriving, we were introduced to the free viewing area and could order food and cook at any time. But to be honest, the room was still a bit cramped and there was barely enough space between the beds. I heard that the voltage on the mountain is unstable and there are always power outages. I also caught one this time🙈
The inn is not far from the Duoyishu Observation Deck, and it only takes ten minutes to walk there. There is a village below, where you can go down to the terraced fields and take a stroll.
After I went there, I realized that the price and quality of accommodation at Yuanyang Rice Terraces vary greatly, especially during holidays, so it depends on your personal preference.

TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.
