My recent stay at the newly renovated Sofitel Shanghai North Bund was absolutely fantastic. I was fortunate to receive a free upgrade to a Luxury Room, which was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated. I especially loved the chic and premium touches like the brass Kohler faucets and accessories in the bathroom. The view from my window overlooking the city was simply breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with a vast array of options to satisfy every taste. From freshly baked pastries and made-to-order omelettes to a delicious congee station and an abundance of fresh fruit, there was something for everyone. Although the hotel is located on the North Bund, I found it incredibly convenient to get around. We relied on Didi to explore the city and found it to be a very affordable and efficient option. A trip to Yu Garden took just 15 minutes, and we were able to reach other key attractions with ease. The service at the Sofitel was impeccable. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, I found the Sofitel Shanghai North Bund to be excellent value for money. The combination of luxurious accommodations, a fantastic breakfast, and outstanding service made our stay truly memorable. I will definitely be back!”

All around stunning 5 star hotel with excellent hospitality. A lovely festive mood was set with a large Christmas tree and decorations. We were even given a free upgrade when we checked in on Christmas Eve. The only issue we had was with the buffet breakfast. It could be so much better. They're doing just enough to get by and we didn't think the quality of the food was at a high enough standard for a place of this caliber. Also, the rap music in the elevator should be changed. Some kind of Sofitel promo video that is/was entirely inappropriate for the holiday season. That being said, we plan to return and would without hesitation recommend staying here.
