Great view for a short time staycation, some of the decoration near the room door was unstable, might need to get fixed. The Chinese restaurant on the 43 floor worth a try, we ordered Beijing duck, a salad, fried rice with black truffle, and a dessert which looks like lychee, the dinner cost more than the room rate, but it’s worth a try.

Hotel is not bad, but during our stay, most of the common areas were quite cold. Also, water in the main pool was quite cold, as well as the air temperature, making it unpleasant. It is ok for pure swimming, but since it is a family hotel, temperature should be fine also for kids playing. Service in the Merket restaurant was quite poor, while in the Chinese restaurant the service was very good, as well as the food, much better than in the Market. Breakfast is good. There is a small outside playground with animals. Some of the animals (the cow, the small rodents…) look a little bit suffering. If you don’t speak Chinese it is quite difficult to understand what kind of activities can be done (in the hotel or with hotel support), and nobody is proposing anything at first. All in all, not thinking to come back.

Hyatt Regency Shanghai Global Harbor Hotel is very high standard living hotel for travelling and business trip. The room is such big which is around 50 sqm. The bathroom was clean and bright, the toilet separated from shower room. It has got 50” Television in the room. Our room was located level 16, it was quiet and brighter. Also it is very convenience because the huge Global harbor shopping centre is just downstairs. Lot of shops and restaurant you could access from hotel Level 1 and Level 7. I think the hotel is best the location to reach the Shanghai subway systems, which has No.3, No.4 and No.13 subways lines just beside of the hotel, walking only few seconds. The stay this time was as warm and pleasant as always. Ella's attitude was very enthusiastic, and the service was exceptionally attentive. If all the hotel staff could be like this, I believe the business of Hyatt Hotel would definitely thrive.

Great spot on the river. Room came with tickets to Smurf paradise and free upgrade to executive club access which were both enjoyed! The breakfast is the best we’ve had in China, more variety of fruit, fruit juice, pastries, bread etc and pastries were freshly cooked. Very vast selection, all good quality. Hotel has really nice rooms, new and clean decor, good facilities like indoor/outdoor pool. The service was also better than most other similar hotels I’ve stayed at. 2 things to note ; 1) our room was uncomfortably hot and we couldn’t sleep well, I’m not sure what the issue was but the service was very good. They came up with different solutions and brought us an AC unit in the end. They were very helpful, it’s just a shame it was still too hot. 2) the pool has a weird policy where no spectators are allowed, which I’ve never come across in a hotel before, and I didn’t really understand the rationale. In the 5 minutes I was in there I saw 3 other women sent away who were equally bemused. 1 was accompanying her daughter, who then couldn’t swim as mum wasn’t allowed to stay and watch, poor girl! I just wanted to watch and take videos of my 2 year old playing with her Dad. It was a little disappointing. Anyway, great hotel- we’ll go back.
