Ulasan Shangtex Hotel

What a great place to stay if you are visiting Shanghai. It’s in an excellent location, walking distance to lots of good stuff and close to several Metro lines. The rooms are quite lovely and the staff are very kind and helpful. For the price I do not think you will find a better spot. There’s a cute Mexican place next door which is accessible from the lobby and it’s wonderfully easy to have things delivered if you don’t feel like going out. Great shower with two different heads and hot water. I would say not to bother with the breakfast, the standard of food is poor and the other guests seem incapable of covering their mouths whilst coughing and sneezing which makes the whole thing feel like more of a superspreader event than a dining experience. I give this place a strong 9/10, only didn’t get the ten because of other guests antisocial behaviour but it’s to be expected so not the hotel’s fault. I will definitely stay here again and again and again.

Good rooms . Great area. Staff refused to turn on the AC because out side temp was not more than 26 degrees Celsius. Room was boiling hot

stayed there early November, the rooms were warm and stuffy, and A/C doesn't seem to work. We only found out the next day that they turned off their generator because it's 'cold' outside. In the end we had to borrow standing fans for each which isn't very strong as well.

Very accommodating, efficient and helpful staff, despite obvious language barrier 10-15min walk from Central West Nanjing Road, good value for money at the heart of Shanghai

The hotel was okay for one night. The view was disappointing because there's nothing to see by the window.

This is the second time I've stayed here. The staff is nice. Rooms are fairly clean. Sometimes it feels like the room was cleaned and left vacated for a while but that's not really their fault. I like this place a lot.

i went to sanghai with 10 people and book 5 twin bed rooms. location a few blocks from nanjing road, the hotel is quiet. around the hotel there are many small rest areas. every day the rooms are cleaned and the towels are replaced

The hotel is accessible and the staff is friendly. I definitely come back again. Room are clean and staff is polite and helpful. I will recommend this hotel.

Lost keycard, 50CNY. Tv did not work. No fridge in the room. Daytime noisy parking place next door. Location excellent, great bars and restaurants downstairs. Efficiently managed, easy access, room is old but very clean. Good shower and good sleep
