Highly recommend staying at Edition Hotel when you are visiting Shanghai! It has spectacular view of the city, and just a 5 minutes walk from the Bund. If you have the time, do visit their rooftop bar and restaurant as well, it is amazing. I booked a 1 night stay and I was able to check in at 12pm. Best part of the stay- we got a complimentary room upgrade and was offered late check-out the next day as well, to my pleasant surprise. Upon entering our room, my partner and I were overjoyed to find a box of sweets, a bottle of wine, and chocolates, it really made our day. The hotel provides complimentary slippers and Le Labo shower set for you to bring home, and a variety of local snacks in the Mini bar (refillable). Do check out the hotel’s programme as well as they have quite a bit of interesting collaborations with notable brands, and special promotions for hotel guests. Special mention to the Hotel’s guest relations, Yeri, for giving us a tour of the hotel and being exceptionally attentive to detail. We would definitely book Edition Hotel for our next trip to Shanghai.

From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home, providing thoughtful touches to ensure we were comfortable traveling with a small child. Our room was spacious, elegant, and immaculately clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a breathtaking view of the Pearl Tower. The daily delivery of fresh fruits and drinks was a delightful touch. The breakfast spread was phenomenal, offering a variety of options to cater to every palate. From fresh pastries and tropical fruits to perfectly prepared egg dishes, it was a feast to look forward to each morning. The hotel’s restaurants are a destination in themselves. We enjoyed unforgettable meals with stunning views of the Shanghai skyline. The bar on the 28th floor was a particular highlight, offering expertly crafted cocktails and an atmosphere that was both sophisticated and welcoming. Excellent Service and Location My family of 5 had an exceptional experience at this hotel, thanks to the personalized service from Yeri. She provided a thorough explanation of the room details upon our arrival and was also very responsive to any additional requests via her WeChat. The housekeeping service was also outstanding. We always returned to our room to find everything impeccably arranged, and our clothes neatly folded—something that most hotels don’t offer. It really added to the comfort and care during our stay. The hotel was also very accommodating, accepting all my Taobao purchases without hesitation. While the location on Nanjing Pedestrian Street means cars can’t drop off directly at the hotel, the staff is stationed nearby to assist with luggage, which made things easier. Prime Location The hotel is ideally situated on the famous Nanjing East Road, just a 2-minute walk from Nanjing East Station Exit 2. It's close to popular tourist attractions like Yu Garden and Xin Tian Di. There are also many delicious eateries and trendy, internet-famous restaurants in the area, such as 莱莱小龙, 蟹叁宝 and 沈大成, making it a perfect destination for food lovers. Clean and Comfortable Room The room was spotless, with fresh bedding and high-quality toiletries from Le Labo, a renowned perfume brand. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, great location, and top-notch facilities.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully equipped, providing a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. A huge shoutout to Rex, whose service was absolutely impeccable. He went out of his way to offer personalized recommendations and his assistance truly elevated the end-to-end experience of living at one of Marriott’s luxury properties. Shanghai Edition, amazing location, amazing rooms and Spectacular service! I was so amazed by the pre-arrival experience from Guest Relations, ZORA! The sweeetest girl!!! She cared so much about our stay; even though we only stay for one night. She prepared our room with every request prepared, and even more! I’m so touched by the letter she wrote, all the amenity prepared and when she knew I’m having a sore throat, she prepared many bottled water in room! Everything is set upon my arrival - I love my room so much. Thanks to ZORA, I want to stay at Shanghai Edition on my next trip to Shanghai!!!♥️♥️ I will also recommend this hotel to my family and friends!

We booked 3 rooms for 4 nights including breakfast and had a great time staying in Edition. The staffs are very welcoming and friendly, always with smile and attentive. Breakfast is Ala carte with half buffet style with variety of choices. We truly satisfied with the food. But it was quite boring to have it 4 days in a row. Room cleaning service is well done and the toiletries are replenished everyday. We also entitled for early bird rewards with a free fruits plate, shopping bag, a small pack of free shampoo and bath products. Our first round of snacks bar are complimentary except for beer and alcohol. The gym room is not really spacious but fully equipped. The only downside is the swimming pool is quite small, and it would be better if sauna is provided. Not to mention the strategic location that the metro station is just 2mins walk from the hotel. But the car is not allowed to enter the main road, nevertheless the staffs would help to carry all luggages and the taxi ride can stop at the back door or back street with just few steps away. Overall, we enjoyed ourself and my family are happy with this hotel.

There were bugs in the pool area and my friend and I got bitten. Don’t have enough clothes hooks inside bathroom

Upon arrival we were greeted by the Concierge Boring and Leo who were very helpful, friendly and helped with our luggages from checking in to checking out. Once checked into the hotel we were greeted by guest service Yeri who helped us throughout our stay at Edition Shanghai and delivered excellent service.

Mia at Edition was just amazing, very attentive to customer service. I have to thank the front desk for the update, just love the loft room. You can’t go wrong with Edition, especially their hospitality. Had a really enjoyable stay. Location was extremely convenient, right in the heart of East Nanjing Road, a stone throw to the Bund. Highly recommended.

My kids love the pool table at the lobby. Keep them entertained . The rooms are very small but overall experience is still good . Location is very good too.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Shanghai Edition. Having stayed in a few hotels in Shanghai, I think this has one of the best location as it’s situated right in the middle of Nanjing Road. The hotel and room designs are warm and sophisticated but not over the top. The room looks very new and is well maintained. The warm service we received during the stay was commendable. Mia was very helpful and we were able to contact her via WeChat during our stay for any help needed. Shoutout to one of the staff at the rooftop bar (didnt manage to get his name) for his amazing service and generosity during our visit too. Perhaps the only thing below expectation was the hotel breakfast. Recommend to book without breakfast and enjoy the good food around shanghai. Would definitely want to return here again next time:)

Prime location near The Bund with excellent service and amenities. However, the lobby and lift lighting were too dim for comfort. The overall experience was fantastic.
