Ulasan Sepilok Jungle Resort

We stayed for just one night. We booked because we were visiting the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre, which is literally a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is dated but has a certain charm. The breakfast was poor. The staff are helpful.

The surrounding Environment is excellent for relaxing and birding which provide the feeling of a small forest kingdom. I like it very much.

Mixed emotions with this place. The setting is amazing and it's located next to the orangutan and near sanctuaries. The room was fine and very few bugs, we're in the jungle after all so that's pretty good. The restaurant on the resort is fine and reasonably priced, free breakfast was ok. The main issue with this place is that it needs updating. It has so much potential but it looks like it's still in the 1990's. The pool itself was great but the surroundings were old and dilapidated. Rock hard wooden deck chairs and a dirty shower area. The price was OK but slightly overpriced for what you get. We stayed for one night and it was fine, for longer term I'd choose slightly more luxury yet more expensive accomodation nearby. (ALSO 18RM FOR A SMALL CAN OF TIGER IS RIDICULOUS). 🤣

It was close to the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries. However, this, the pool and the free breakfast were the only really good things about this property. It is not worth the extortionate price per room and the cost of food and WATER on top of that. Because it is so remote, they charge insane prices for food as you have no alternative. They also charge you for filling up your own water bottle. The room fan didn't work, the bathroom door didn't have a handle, the window didn't close. The bedsheets were stained massively. The WiFi didn't reach our room at all (room 8). There were mangey dogs all around the property. Even the good things had drawbacks- noodles were stale in free breakfast and pool wasn't cleaned of debris. Honestly, would be a fine review if this was a budget hotel but consider what you pay for the privilege of staying there, I hoped for better service, cleaner accommodation and more amenities (mainly FREE water at least).

The hotel is amazing! It is just next to the Orangutan and the Sunbear rehabilitation center (only 9min by foot). We came here by bus from Kota Kinabalu. The bus dropped us of at the roundabout (junction) to Sepilok. We even received a room upgrade because it was her birthday 😍

Location was perfect. Walking distance to the orangutan and sunbear centers. Rooms were very basic but the breakfast was nice.

Staying overnight for Deluxe Double Room at room No.22. Overall is good, environment is nice for nature lover. The only problem I’ve encounter is the body soap dispenser. It barely dispenses soap when pushed 🫢

super basic but serviceable hotel in sepilok. really close to the orangutans and sun bears. bathroom is really small and the toilet flush is a bit annoying. breakfast was basic but pretty good considering overall price per night. the pool is a very long walk but it is nice after a hot day. the stairs and the walkways are not luggage friendly. the property is beautiful. lots of water and nature around

Nice and friendly place. All good except the swimming changing areas not to clean and the bin outside our room was ransacked at night by what I think were wild dogs. The dogs were also noisy and fighting at night which is disconcerting. The free night walk was excellent, good knowledgeable guide who found a lot of wildlife including flying lemur, scops owl, slow loris, mouse deer, snakes etc.

Nice hotels except their cafe's meal was salty

Really good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Woke late because it was really cool and nice to sleep in. But not really sound proof hewhew

This place was excellent. Right in the middle of nature and super close to the attractions in the area. Phenomenal. The food was okay as well

I need to confirm Abt the payment as i paid the tourism tax but the sepilok hotel insists on taking the tax again.kindly pls connect to the hotel n advise as I’m Paying the tourism tax once to you while booking n now on checkout they charging me again.this matter is urgent pls.

Its a natural environment and so refreshing ..
