Sonder Telfair Square

Renovated and comfortable apartment in historic downtown Savannah. All communication and guidance about the stay took place through a Sonder app, which made the stay easier.

This was the perfect location for our first visit to Savannah. We were central to everything we wanted to take in. The restaurants on Broughton street were remarkable. The property was quaint and easy to access. We laughed when we saw ear plugs on the table. We learned quickly why they were there. The walls are paper thin and construction starts at 7:00 am and garbage pick up is bright and early at 5:00am. All the amenities needed were plentiful on the property except be forewarned that there is no parking. The parking garage discount was great but the walk in the rain with all our luggage was not. We would definitely stay again the only glitch was the fire alarm going off in the building on our last night. We evacuated but no one told us if or when we could go back in. Lastly the day of our departure we had someone try to come into the property at 8:00 and our checkout was 11:00am.

Great location & great appliances!! Not Sonders fault, but Construction in the alley in the mornings was EXTREMELY loud

Sleeping room without window, uncomfortable mattess in King bed, horrible matress in sleeping sofa, no recommendation!

The property was great, you can walk to everything.

This booking was a nightmare from the start. Customer service was useless. NEVER book a Sonder.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! Worst travel experience we’ve ever had. This is not a regular hotel. They do not have a front desk. Every entrance code they gave us was wrong. After an hour and a half of trying to get in they told us they gave our room to someone else because one of their other buildings had a leak. This was after we had to walk from a parking garage almost a mile away with all of our stuff and waited in the rain and they just said oops nvm we’re going to send you somewhere else. Awful company, awful customer service.

Great space in a great location .. right in the middle of shopping/restaurant district. Yet we heard no street noise.

Sonder is a bit of a drag to work with: didn’t realize that there is another step to reserve beyond **********. You have to provide scans of IDs, do a face scan, and give your credit card info again. Apartment was well situated, walkable to most historical district attractions. Unit is comfortable and well supplied. A little spartan but fine for our purposes. Some noise from restaurant across the alley which is why they provide a white noise generator and earplugs. Garage is about 4 blocks away - a reasonable walk. Area is safe and clean.
