Hotel Brilant Saranda

An in demand hotel and rightly so! Super location just south of the beach with incredible views of the promenade and sea. 6th floor is the way to go! Breakfast was a little underwhelming, but don’t let that put you off booking (as long as you can secure the right room!).

Although the location of this hotel is central and the views from the street side are beautiful (sea view), do not choose this hotel if you want to sleep peacefully at night. The nightlife on the nearby promenade and other nearby hotels is lively and very noisy - you can hear it clearly even if the balcony door is closed. The staff (cleaners and those responsible for breakfast and reception) are very friendly and helpful. The same can hardly be said of the young female manager of the hotel. With her own permission, she came to our hotel room with a couple of strangers when she thought we were both away. However, my friend was sleeping in the room, so she was caught. She explanation was that she thought we were both gone. We didn't get a proper reason for visiting our room with her own permission. Of course, she apologised, but we were left wondering if the guests' belongings are safe in the hotel at all, if this is possible. In addition, the manager handled the aftermath of the situation (including room changing) very poorly. However, ten stars for the rest of the staff and the sea view

We had a very pleasant visit in hotel Brilant Sarande. The rooms are very elegant, clean and comfortable. The hospitality in the hotel is excelent. From the rooms you can see amazing sunsets and view to the center of Sarande. I would come here again!

My wife and I stayed here for just one night before taking the ferry to Corfu. With just one proviso we would recommend it as a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Saranada. The Brilant is a modern high-rise building overlook the harbor. The lobby area was attractive and welcoming, and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room (406) was very large with a sliding glass door opening onto a spacious balcony. It had a roof-top view of the surrounding buildings and a peek a boo view of the harbor. Rooms on higher floors might have better views. There were two comfortable twin beds, night stands with outlets, a couch, a small coffee table, a desk, a built-in luggage stand, and a low bench at the foot of each bed. The decor was bright and cheery, befitting a seaside location. The tiled bathroom was large and attractive, with a shower, pedestal sink, and bidet. There was only a small shelf above the sink for storage. The only problem with the room was that the a.c. didn’t work and the room was unbearably hot even with the sliding door open. We complained but the front desk person was unable to get it working and offered us another room which had a.c. that put out only mildly cool air. We opted to stay in the original room and use a portable a.c. unit which was already there (meaning this was a persistent problem) and it worked fairly well, even though we had to leave the sliding door open slightly to allow for the unit’s exhaust tube to vent outside. Breakfast was in a pleasant room on the 5th floor with a nice view of the harbor. There was a good selection of items, though good single-cup coffee was an extra charge. Overall, we recommend the Brilant, provided you obtain a room with effective air conditioning.

An average hotel with satisfactory lodging, an adequate breakfast and service available when needed all near the waterfront. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to others? As a bargain if you wanted to save money.
