Hotel Spa di Sapporo

This is my second time staying in this hotel. Location is second to none, just grab your bags and head straight to airport from the train station just right next to it. However, one draw back is that my room is facing the train tracks and expect excruciating noises until midnight. The bathroom could have been more cleaner as I found some body hair in the bath tub just right after I get into the room.  A bonus from this hotel: a small fee allowing you to access in door onsen, and then there is a stand serving milk and popsicles until 10:30pm. The hotel is located between Sapporo Station and Odori Station, very convenient for taking the railway. The hotel offers hot springs and free Sapporo beer at 7:30 p.m. The room is well-equipped and has a great view, with a beautiful night view of Sapporo. The Christmas decorations in the hotel are beautiful and the staff are very polite. The only downside is that the towels were dirty one day and the bed sheets were not changed. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit Sapporo.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at keihan, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the professional, friendly staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I immediately felt at home. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the modern amenities, such as a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was spotless, with high-quality toiletries and a rainfall shower.

The room is very big, but the toilet seems to be leaking, but it's not serious. The breakfast is Japanese style. It's within 10 minutes of the subway station. It's not very convenient to carry the suitcase if it snows.

My wife and I checked in the hotel from 10-14 July 2024. Upon check-in, we were attended by a female counter staff. After checking both my wife and my passport, she mentioned that the room was booked for 4 nights for only 1 person and that I’ll have to pay ¥1,500 additional for each night that my wife stays with me. That added up to ¥6,000 which I felt was totally unnecessary because there was no additional costs incurred regardless my wife is staying with me in the room or not. I tried to speak rationally to the staff attending to me but due to some Japanese rules, she frowned and insisted that I’ve to pay for the ¥6,000 which I have no choice but to pay up. After paying the ¥6,000 we went up to room 705 and realized that the carpet in the room was so old and dirty with stains all over, especially along the main passageway. The bathtub is the only location we can take our shower in and it creaks whenever we step inside, sounding like it’s gonna break apart anytime. The water temperature was also irregular. Though this hotel is conveniently located just minutes walk away from Takajima-Koen Station, we doubt we’ll ever stay back at the hotel ever again. A negative impression has been created since the moment we checked into the hotel and nothing has changed throughout our stay there.

Karaksa Hotel Sapporo is right smack in the middle of Tanujiko shopping and dining belt. The Ramen Alley is also nearby. It is close to the entrance of Pole Town, which links all the way to Sapporo JR Station. Walk past Odori metro station in the direction towards Sapporo JR station, you can also easily access Aurora Town on your right, another underground shopping stretch that leads to Aurora Plaza. The hotel provides free ice-cream and drinks at level 2F. The onsen is also conveniently located at level 2F. A coin laundry service is also found near the onsen area but the dryers don't seem very effective. I had to put enough 100 yen coins to use the dryer for 6 whole hours before they were completely dry! Room size is just nice for 2 pax, however it would be a tight squeeze for 3 adults. There isn't much hanging space for clothes in the room so I had to improvise by getting S hooks from Diaso.

The hotel location is great. Right at Tanukigoji shopping street. Car park is next to the hotel very convenient (1,800 JYP per night). Breakfast is excellent. Onsen is a bit small as it is in the city.

I couldn't forget the breakfast buffet I had four years ago, so I stayed here on the last day of my trip to Sapporo for the first time in a long time. I was upgraded to a twin room, and both the room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. The U-shaped venue is beautiful no matter how many times I see it, and it made me feel elegant. From here on, I would like you to consider the following: 1. I would like the refrigerator to be available. 2. It would be nice if ice was always available (if there is no such thing as 1). 3. I would like the shuttle bus to be longer. ▶︎I thought I could relax at 11:00, but it was 10:00, so I had to eat breakfast in a hurry. It would be nice if there was at least 10:30. ▶︎I arrived before check-in and thought I could relax in the lobby, but it was only 13:00 and then 16:00, which was disappointing. It would be nice if there was at least 15:00. 4. The hand soap was expensive and difficult to push.

I like the hotel as it is not in the Central Area where it is crowded, so very little tourist groups. Most of the guests in the hotel are local nationals. It is located next to a mall so very convenient for everything. A ton of food within walking distance. Admittedly the hotel is a little dated but it is vey well kept. The service is top notch although they mostly don’t speak English so you’ll have to use google translate to speak to them, which I did not mind. Had a few misunderstandings during the trip which was due to miscommunication. Also please note that the hotel does not provide daily housekeeping, they would change all your towels, give you new amenties and empty all you trash as you leave it outside your room. They come into your room to refresh the room only once every 4 days. Which again I did not mind. I would rate it highly but I can’t give it a 5 having stayed in other better hotels, but this checks off a lot of boxes for me if you are on holiday and want something clean, well maintained, good service and nice.

About 5minit walking distance to the bustop to some attraction place around . Walking around to some shop , mart . Stay at higher floor get the better view. This hotel provide the public onsen , male and female. Coffee and ice water provide for free. Luckily on the last day in Hokkaido, snow fall....
