We have booked room with breakfast. In China main problem for vegetarian people is Food, here you can’t find vegan food easily. We stayed in holiday inn for 2 night and 2 nights in other hotel, While i checked in i asked front desk to ask restaurant to prepare vegan food for us but he said they have many things inside , you can take vegetarian food by yourself, but first day in breakfast we could not eat anything other than plain rice and fruit because everything contains meat or egg. Then i talked to one of hotel staff Name LUCAS who can speak good english. He helped us to convey our requirements to restaurant manager then on second day we could get proper breakfast. Lucas also helped us to talk to our other hotel manager about our food restrictions so that we could get vegan food over there too
LUCAS helped us for other all difficulties too.
being non Chinese people its not easy for us to survive in china because we don’t know chinese language and we are vegetarian people. But LUCAS became superman for us and overcome all our problems. Thanks a lot LUCAS for your selfless service in all the way.

The biggest advantage is the location, very close to Yalong Bay, you can walk to the beach in 3 minutes. The swimming pool is for children, which is also an advantage. There are many shops, fast food, local restaurants, beer stalls, street foods corners. There are also small children's playgrounds. The disadvantage is that the room we got could hear the sound of local people singing karaoke every night. Also, the hotel staff was annoying us the night before we left, asking if we wanted to buy souvenirs.

The only downsides are the lack of sun loungers on the beach (at 10am there is not a single free spot) and at the pool, and the lack of beach towels, sometimes there are none at all. I would like to return to this hotel next time after the renovation. There is no ventilation in the bathroom in the room at all, there is an unpleasant smell. Otherwise, the hotel is very beautiful, conveniently located with many cafes and restaurants. Across the road is the passage to the beach. The hotel staff always help in solving problems, I would especially like to mention Steve, he organized our transfer to the water park and the airport.

Rooms and furniture need renovation. Water supply and sewerage need renovation. Breakfast is varied but tasteless (in my opinion). Traditional meal noodles, the person who cooks noodles does it as if he is serving a sentence and does it with contempt, arrogance (in my opinion). The hotel location near to the sea, but this beach is not intended for swimming. The staff at reception did not solve any issues, some bonuses were included in the stay, but it was not possible to use them due to the lack of interest of the staff. All attractions, shops and restaurants are located within 20 minutes walking distance. At Yalong bay the best place for stay is on the western side of the bay.

These are the best villas I have found in Sanya! Absolutely stunning. The design and amenities here are excellent. The villas and surrounds are so beautiful and everything is very convenient. They also have shuttle buses come to collect you whenever you ring and they are very swift. The staff were all very lovely and some spoke English.
The was a slight issue at check in as our villa wasn’t ready so after 2 hours and some free drinks for the inconvenience, we were upgraded.
After that, everything was perfect, my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The design of the villas is pure luxury and are very much worth the price. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing Family Stay at MGM Hotel!
We recently stayed as a family in one of the villas at the MGM Hotel, and it was truly an exceptional experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so warm and welcome. Every detail was taken care of, and the service was top-notch.
The housekeepers were meticulous, ensuring our villa was always spotless and comfortable. A special mention to the staff at Neera restaurant—Lukas, Mark, and the lovely female restaurant manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well-fed and that our kids had the best time. Their attention and genuine care made every meal memorable.
The buggy rides were a highlight, thanks to Aiger, who made them so fun and engaging for the whole family! And we can’t thank Miko enough— she owas always ready to help with anything we needed, making our stay seamless and stress-free.
This was a perfect family getaway, and we can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for warm hospitality, impeccable service, and a great family-friendly environment, MGM Hotel is definitely the place to be. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Sanya Hotel in Hainan and had a wonderful experience. The resort offers a stunning beachfront location, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the tropical atmosphere. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a balcony offering breathtaking ocean views.
The staff was courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, catering to both local and international tastes. I especially appreciated the well-maintained pools and the lush, beautifully landscaped gardens.

We have been at different hotels in Sanya during the last years but since the time we discovered Marriot Sanya Yalong Bay we were so delighted and since that time we always come back. This time during national holidays it was not the exception on how a fabulous time we have spent during our 4 days stay. All the hotel maintenance is great, we love to spend the day between ocean and pool area and for that Fish bar restaurant is a spot we like a lot, around 6 PM q couple of great foreign singers play some amazing covers. Marriot Yalong Bay never disappoints us!! Special thanks to Leo for being such a great host and to make our stay even much better, thanks Leo for your dedication and so kindness and help during our stay. The first thing that attracted me to this hotel was the affordable prices compared to other nearby luxury hotels. It was definitely one of the better deals, and you get a very satisfactory stay in return. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful, including the front desk staff, bellhops, bartender, cleaning staff, waiters, and various other encountered staff (knowing a little Chinese helps). A staff member kept in contact with me through Wechat with its built-in translation tool, answering any questions, helping with any request, and making sure each day remained a satisfactory experience. I would like to give a special compliment to Zoey, the front desk staff member who was of great assistance; she deserves a promotion! Also, praise to the friendly and hardworking cleaning lady that is assigned to building 3, floor 5 (I don't know her name); she also deserves a bonus! The room itself is cozy, comfortable, and clean. Room service is smooth, it is very convenient to take care of any living necessities, and the pools and beach are a short walk away. There are no complaints that I have in regard to my stay. My biggest highlight is definitely the big bathtub! My only suggestion would be a single foldable lounge chair for the balcony, allowing for a person to lay down outside or for sunbathing, so it is not needed to always go to the public sunbathing areas.

AAnonymous UserRegret I haven’t booked Atlantis for the entire stay to be honest. It was 100 dollars more expensive than Crown Plaza, but boy it ended up being a great value for money!
First, plenty of things to do for the entire family with aqua park, aquarium, kids adventures and swimming pools for adults.
Second, cinema and aqua show kind of like cirque du soleil style.
Third, access to imperial lounge made all the difference- was able to chill there and drinks and food are free. So ended up saving massively on food. Actually Atlantis was cheaper than Crown Plaza after all food costs added in.
Fourth, personal butler service. Communicated via WeChat easily and answered all my questions instantly. Shout out to Marina doing a great job! Enough staff speaking both English and Russian. And all signs in the hotel in 3 languages - Chinese, Russian, English. Crown Plaza was not foreigners friendly at all. Eric was the only guy who spoke decent English there. Room service and other services were 100% Chinese. Good I speak basic Mandarin, otherwise would have been tough.
The only disappointment was really closed pools for adults which made me purchase a cabana to be able to enjoy pool access in private and without much loud screams from kids etc. But was not such a big disappointment!
I would stay here exclusively next time. Totally worth the money!

Some few keys I’d like to pinpoint during my stay in this resort. We were staying for 5 nights, from June 1st to 8th.
CLEANLINESS
I’m very surprised with the cleanliness in the room and surrounding areas. Walking through the lobby, garden areas, pool areas and of course the room. You’ll be able to see gardeners, housekeepers, and cleaners doing everything to clean the their areas. This resort is spotless. Five stars for that.
LOCATION
Location is quite far from downtown but enough to go shopping around 68 market/mall. The hotel is connected to the mall where you can find and dine local restaurants. It is good when you’re trying to avoid the pricy meal at the resort. (Go local, get cheaper)
And yes, location from the airport is about 35-45 minutes away. No traffic on the way. But try to avoid some local drivers who’s trying to give you a cheaper price to send you to the hotel. Always check the price on Didi or other app. When using those apps there will be no compromise.
SERVICE
Service. Well, overall it was great! Starting from reception, we were greeted during the arrival with the help of our luggage and stuff and guided us through the lobby. The receptionist attended us during check-in was very attentive and helpful (I didn’t get a chance to check her name). She was very helpful, and even gave us a tour through the map and sent us to the lift to our room.
The young man and young lady at the housekeeping dept. was always ready to help us with what we needed in the room and prepared a honeymoon decoration in the room on the first day with complementary champagne and a fruit basket (Downside: some are telling to give them five stars) but I totally understand as it helps them as well.
Restaurant staff are relatively friendly and helpful. Very welcoming when you coming for breakfast and guide us to our seats. BUT, you’ll need to come earlier than 9. Otherwise, you’ll be lining up outside the restaurant waiting for the vacant seat.
AMENITIES
Amenities are well cleaned and new. Showers and tub are quite new and well maintained. Other things in the resort are basically great.
Swimming at the beach is on your own risk. No lifeguard assigned to watch as it is a public beach. Basically it’s not allowed to go swimming. Haitang bay resorts are all the same. If you’re looking for a resort where you can swim, you need to find somewhere else such as Yalong bay or Wuzhizhou Island.
Overall stay was great.
Just bear in mind, if you’re looking for a hotel or resort for fun this resort is not for you. But if you’re looking for a relaxation and calm holiday this resort is for you.
There are only few entertainment and experience you can have in the resort such as live music during barbecue dinner at the Grand Cafe, dinner in the sky, and show outside the restaurant.

- Lovely tropical gardens.
- Great swimming pool with lots of shaded areas and a transparent kayak.
- Lovely beach with loungers, sunshades and basic amenities (lemonade, towels, beach toys).
- Awesome night views.
- Amazing open-air aquarium with exotic fish and turtles.
- Great amenities for kids (electric vehicles, train, pedal karts, swimming pool floats and boats).
- Friendly and helpful staff.
- Great location near CDF mall.
- Really good breakfast.
Bad:
- I received a significant electric shock just by touching the front tray of the children’s popcorn machine at breakfast. I immediately informed a member of staff whose response made me feel this was not the first time it had happened. They switched off the popcorn machine and said somebody would fix it. 10mins later we saw the machine was switched on again (the staff member said it was fixed).
- The security chain on the door to our room locked itself from the inside after we left the room, so we could not get in when we got back. Had to wait 15-20min for staff to open the chain from the outside, then had to wait another 30-40min for a repairman to replace the old/faulty chain lock - this took a while because the new hardware did not fit properly and the door could not be closed (it was fixed with some loud hammering). The next day, the door couldn’t close again so I had to again wait for a repairman to fix it (more loud hammering).
- A few times we had no response when calling “instant service” on the phone. The WeChat service was also sometimes slower than we’d expected, especially for urgent questions.
- Tired and worn out exterior and interior decoration (faded/peeling paint, damp patches).
- Wobbly fixings (balcony light, toilet paper holder).
- Confusing A/C controls (two control panels, no indication what each one is for)
- Live music started quite late and was loud - we had to close balcony door to let our child sleep.
- Transparent doors to the shower and toilet cubicles.
- Inconsistent service at breakfast (some days very attentive, some days not so).
- No good value lunch or dinner options. I tried a room service salad which was terrible (it used canned beans, canned corn and canned chickpeas, and processed roast chicken) - surprisingly bad value and quality.
- One evening our taxi was not permitted to enter the hotel grounds due to a special event. We had to walk up the long driveway with our (tired) young daughter….it would have been nice for the hotel to offer their electric buggy shuttle from the main road to the lobby.
- After the trip, I received an email with a link to the bill, but this link took me to a web page which said an online bill was unavailable.

SSuntikaI stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya to celebrate a friend’s birthday over the weekend.
We booked the Club King Room which came with a lot of free activities and saved us a lot.
Check in was smooth as I was helped By Guest Relations Supervisor, Dora and her colleague Nancy. They were kind, attentive and professional.
The hotel has a mini supermarket in Building 1, which was nice.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel was incredible. I would suggest S.E.A restaurant it’s a Southeast Asian Restaurant.
I feel the hotel failed my expectations in two area:
1. The spread offered at afternoon was limited and if you didn’t arrive on time you had to wait about 10-20 mins for the next batch of food to come out.
2. At Happy Hour in the club lounge, there was a few bottles of hard liquor, chilled prosecco and wine. However?l, once the bottle was empty it was replaced with another fresh bottle.
Other than that, my friend and I had an amazing stay and was definitely worth it.

NnikifewStayed 4 days in a hotel. The hotel is located nearby the biggest shopping mall in dadunhai area, which provides a big number of attractions inside, fine dining and shopping.
Dadunhai beach is okay with well developed infrastructure.
Breakfast is perfect with a huge amounts of dishes both European, Russian and Chinese cuisine.

BBrittany PaigeBanyan Tree, my home away from home ❤️ This was one of our best trips all because of the incredible facilities and services that Banyan Tree offers. You are treated like royalty from the moment you enter the grounds till even after we left. We forgot 2 items in our villa and the amazing ladies have shipped it back to us. The ladies at the front desk were amazing the buggy drivers were so helpful and the spa was incredible!!! We didn’t get everyone’s names but Acco on reception, Summer and Anna in the spa were some of the kindest hosts. Every staff member we interacted with, was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Overall Banyan Tree is a 12/10. The hotel wins for us in all the small details like our welcome gifts, fresh fruit daily, daily pool cleaning and fresh towels and robes.
The one and only feeling I have that isn’t 100% positive is the food prices at the hotel. Just be prepared for expensive food, especially if you want steak.

CC.JonesWe loved this quaint little place. Off the main shopping street so it’s a bit less busy but still close enough to make for easy access. Right on the beach which is both a good thing and potentially a slight issue for those wanting a place that is quiet at night. You will have to deal with the club music from a couple other beachside places who play loud music (albeit good and live) until 23:00 every night. The highlights for us would be the service which was incredibly nice and helpful. The resident dog was also a big highlight for us as she (Muo Muo) was so sweet. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the facilities were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t have an issue with late night music.

AAnonymous UserI have mixed feelings about this place. The best part is the location. You are on a main road with many shops, restaurants and bus stops as well as the beach. I also liked the pool despite it being a little too shallow. The view from my balcony was also great.
One problem was cleanliness. Never walk around the room barefoot cause your feet will get dirty. It also looked like the crockery and kitchen utensils were not cleaned before I arrived. As you can see some of the utensils were dusty!
Hot water was another issue. Obviously you need hot water to properly wash your hands and dirty dishes. However I only had hot water in the shower, not in the kitchen nor bathroom sink.
This leads to my next issue which is service. I told the staff about the lack of hot water on the Friday and they said they would fix it at some point during the day while I am out with my friend. I come back at roughly 9pm to find out there is still no hot water. On Saturday morning I remind them to fix it before I go out again, hoping when I return I will have hot water. While I'm at the beach I miss a call from them. Turns out instead of fixing the issue, they want to move me to another room with hot water. When I return from the beach I saw the message and told them I am ready to move to the new room. But they replied saying I was too late and they gave the room to someone else. (If I did take that room, does that mean the other guest would have my room and have to suffer with cold water instead of me?) Instead of taking responsibility for not providing hot water or trying to fix it, the staff tried to blame me and said I can't get hot water cause I was too busy to answer their calls. When I pushed back on that comment their next excuse was that a lack of hot water is a common problem in Hainan? But then they said they would check if there was a free room with hot water the next day (Sunday). However, they never contacted me about that again so I just gave up trying. If they couldn't fix the problem, they could have at least offered me compensation but they didn't. This experience made me feel dismissed and unimportant as a paying guest.
To sum up, I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience. If they were to give me a room with hot water in the shower AND in both sinks, that's great. However, I would still have to deal with dirty floors and cookware + tableware. It's definitely not the worst place I've stayed in but regardless it didn't meet my standards so I still wouldn't stay here if I return to Sanya. Disappointing.

GGuest UserThis was our first time in this hotel and we enjoyed a lot! The staff is really kind. Apple could speak English and she offered an upgrade for the room during check in. The view was amazing. But especially Beck helped us a lot, resolving all our doubts or questions. He was great for us to spend a great time. The breakfast at the hotel is really good, with a lot of options ( noodles, guangdong steam, a bakery room…). The hotel has 4-5 pools, one of them with slides. And there was a foam show everyday 17-18h. The beach , 5 minutes walking was wonderful: clean, almost empty. What we also liked was all the plants around the hotel. There were also a hainan restaurant and Chongqing hotpot. We are looking forwards to come back very soon! We loved this hotel!

The location is excellent, very close to the beach, the boss is very nice, he was still sending me red envelopes at 11pm, chatting with me, and hoping that I would be in a good mood during the New Year.
I just want to confirm one thing with you, are there no hot water in the washbasins in the bathrooms in Sanya? (My boss told me this) I am ignorant and have never seen the world, so I would like to confirm this with you.
