La Brisa Loca Hostel

Great breakfast and party, cool personal, and the best manager in town, Tony. Also, the location is perfect, close to everything, so many restaurants around and clubs. Another cool thing is that you can go to Masaya anytime. I would come back definitely.

The place has a unique vibe, regardless of it being a hostel I was able to perceive quite a luxurious experience, the staff is incredibly nice and always willing to help. The bathrooms are extremely clean and having gel shower is a really nice detail. Pricing is more than fair for everything (towels, laundry, drinks) and those vodka redbulls are a must. The party is a blast and the breakfast gets the job done (the coffee is delicious) I’m definitely coming back!

Decent place near the party area of Santa Marta, also close to the beach! The rooms are nice, just the shower hardly worked. Its gets super noisy due to the amazing party on the rooftop till after midnight, so if you want to sleep before that this is not the place you should choose!

I liked the facilities of the hostel, the attention to the users and they are undoubtedly making the best party in the area. I would always return to this place. The place is very close to everything tourist, beach, center, restaurants. Etc.

Horrible experience. It’s a really loud party hostel which I’m all for when the party is good and when the rooms are separated but you can’t sleep here as the rooms are built around the “party”. Yesterday when I left the party there was like 8 sad looking people and that didn’t keep them from having the music blasting for nothing and no one for hours. I tried to check out a day early but they wouldn’t let me. I pointed out that they failed to mention it on booking and also failed to mention that there was no hot water which is a problem in Colombia sometimes ( never seen this in the 80+ countries I’ve travelled to but to each their own), but other hotels mention the fact that hot water is missing( I stayed in santa Marta region in 6 different places and always had hot water cuz I selected them), they didn’t, just like for the noise. There are places for everyone, just be upfront about it instead of being sneaky. You sign a document like everywhere in Colombia upon check in, which no one reads. It apparently mentions the noise, so they know they need to insure themselves about it by having that waiver but prefer not to mention it on their booking apps like ***********. But it doesn’t matter that you’ve signed that waiver or not, you’re halfway across the world anyway, instead of in your home at booking time which is when you’re supposed to select a place. Im writing this review from their hotel at breakfast so I get to talk about the food. Having huevos Mexicano, Mexicans would fall of their chair. My room is really sad looking, I got stuck in the shower last night so this morning I showered with the door open. I tried to use the fan as white noise but there’s only one speed and it’s too strong so I had to either freeze or create some white noise. As usual staff is lovely, that is just how it is in Colombia and they sadly can not make up for bad corrupted management.

Amazing service and place. People who work in the hostal were very polite, the food was really good, delicious and big quantity. The beds were very comfortable, the party and music were amazing, although the house day party they didn't play house hahaha
