"Cleanliness: The cleanliness was appalling, just as the photos show. The floor was moldy, and every corner of the bathroom seemed to have been overlooked during cleaning. Truly a nightmare for anyone who cares about hygiene! I didn't even dare to look too closely, even with my glasses on. Service: The service was generally acceptable, but there was a major issue. On the last day, my room card stopped working. The check-out time was clearly stated as 4 PM, so I should have still had access. This really left a bad impression. I had to go all the way down to the front desk to reactivate it, and what made it worse was that I was in a rush to catch my high-speed train for check-out. Location: The location was just average. The main attractions it supposedly boasts across the street, like the museum and Dong Tiangong, are completely unremarkable – especially Dong Tiangong, which is definitely not worth visiting. This means it's not close to any genuinely important sights, although a taxi ride to the Wind and Rain Bridge or Sanjiang Drum Tower only costs about 7-8 yuan. As for dining, there are no options within 500m of the hotel. You need to walk at least 800m, taking a long detour, to reach a commercial street with food. There's a local market about 500m away and a small shop across the road, but other than that, the surroundings are quite deserted. Overall, for tourists, the location is genuinely inconvenient. Facilities: The facilities were mostly standard. The only real bonus was the bathtub; everything else was pretty average. The curtains weren't even motorized, so it definitely didn't feel very 'smart' or up-to-date. Overall, for a 300 yuan room rate in Sanjiang, it felt like all the effort and cost went into superficial decoration. The lobby and corridors were well-designed and attractive, but the actual rooms themselves completely lacked attention to detail or comfort, leading to a very poor guest experience."

"This is probably the best located homestay in Chengyang Bazhai, right next to the first bridge entering the scenic area, and next to it is the national protected covered bridge. Quiet, close to the bridgehead for dinner or a short walk into the village. The boss is nice and provides pick-up and drop-off. Travel during off-peak hours before National Day. The room is in a wooden building and is average, but the side view room has windows on both sides, a private room and a balcony. The off-season room rate is absolutely worth it."

"False advertising! There's absolutely no pool. I paid over 1400 [RMB] and feel completely ripped off. If it were just one or two minor issues, I wouldn't even bother writing this negative review: The room had an incredibly strong chemical smell from new renovations, possibly indicating high formaldehyde levels. After just an hour, my throat started to hurt. Even the houseplants couldn't tolerate it and had withered. The 'welcome fruit' consisted of nothing but soft, stale plums. The cleanliness was appalling. The sofa was covered in previous guests' nail clippings, hair, and dead skin, and the floor was even worse. The bathtub was full of grime; I didn't dare use it, fearing it hadn't been cleaned. The shower drain was clogged, so showering felt like a foot bath, with water spilling all over the bathroom's 'dry' area – no wonder they provide a broom! To top it off, the previous guest's used toothbrush and comb were still on the mirror cabinet. Absolutely revolting! The whole building seemed to shake when people walked upstairs, which was quite alarming. The bedding was awful; it creaked loudly every time I moved. The windows were covered in bird droppings and other grime, making it impossible to take any decent photos. I tried capturing the scenery from various angles, and while bad weather can be a factor, the facilities themselves were so dilapidated that no photo could possibly turn out well. It felt more like an abandoned park, completely devoid of any appealing decor or design. It's about a 30-minute drive from the county town, along unlit mountain roads, which is incredibly inconvenient. We had to call staff to open the gate every time we drove in or out. They advertised 'butler service,' but aside from someone helping with luggage during check-in, we couldn't find anyone. There was no phone in the room, so we had to contact the hotel via Ctrip. Breakfast was incredibly basic: half a bowl of noodles, plain congee with pickles, sweet potatoes, and corn. The way it was served felt like it had been rained on. The dining environment was also terrible and completely unappetizing. I deeply regret choosing this hotel over the Sanjiang Courtyard by Marriott."

"My spouse and I booked a twin room through Trip.com. However, when we checked in, the front desk staff, a young man and woman, only gave us a double room. We realized the mistake upon entering the room, and had no choice but to drag our luggage back to the front desk to sort it out. The young man was gone, and the young woman stubbornly insisted that there were no twin rooms left! I stood my ground, explaining that since we had a reservation, it couldn't possibly be true that there were none. Only then did she reluctantly give us a twin room.
