This resort is remote and yes it’s off some crazy roads but I live in the country in the US so it didn’t bother me at all. We got to the resort late and we were met by awesome staff who kept the restaurant open for just me and my daughters. June is rainy season in Costa Rica and it rained pretty much the entire 48 hours we were there. It was peaceful I wish we could have enjoyed the views that we knew were out there but rain is rain. Erica was wonderful for spa services. The restaurant was good, remember it’s remote so that seemed to be our only option but the chef did great on most of what we ordered. Ok so my favorite thing was the yoga Shala. Ya’ll if you practice yoga or meditation this building and the thought and intention behind it is incredible. The perfect location for a yoga retreat during the non rainy season. The other favorite spot of mine was the tea room. It was like being transported to India in a cosey colorful plush zen space Osho books and all. I think I read in there for 2 hours while it rained. Alexandria, the manager is the sweetest and so helpful to us. And again the rest of the staff just really attentive and nice. A couple of things we missed somehow were shuttle pricing to the airport so check on that before you go. Also, the water heaters are solar so if there’s not a lot of sun you’re going to not have the warmest shower but it’s an eco resort so expect that. I’d go back but if I was in lodging there that had a kitchen I’d bring food for snacks or breakfast so you’re not relying on the restaurant for every meal. Tranquil, beautiful, clean with really attentive people on site. Perfect for a remote yoga retreat, couples romantic getaway or some time with grown children or friends in a calm serene environment on top of the mountain jungle.
