Ulasan Dolphin Bay Beach Resort

Excellent and friendly staff and owner. Very nice rooms equipped with everything and very clean. Perfect for families—especially those with young children. The owner explained to us that she purposed to make her resort relaxing for parents and children, since she experienced rushing around on vacation with her son and knows what it can be like. The resort has a kid’s room with toys, books, and movies. An awesome playground, big yard, swimming pool…lots of options for entertainment, including ping-pong, badminton, rental bikes and motorbikes, tours and trips, massage, sports/fitness room. Has a laundry service and a shop for kids (pool floaties, swimsuits, Thai memorabilia, toys, etc.). Situated practically right on the beach, so there was no need for us to rent a car or catch a taxi to get to anything. Surrounded by a few farms and some restaurants, so the feeling is definitely rural and quiet. The hotel helped us book a taxi from the airport to Huahin. Would 100% recommend.

We only stayed for a few days but we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel caters for families with two pools, one for swimming and one for children with a small slide and pool toys. It is located right across the road from the lovely beach which has a gentle slope and is ideal for children. The food is lovely especially the breakfast which is buffet style with plenty of choice. You can rent bikes or motor bikes for the day and there are boat trips to the islands just off the coast which are reasonably priced. It is very quiet so if you're looking for night life this is not for you. There are a few small bars within walking distance and a Saturday night market that is worth a visit, but it is very quiet. We did enjoy our stay and will probably go back.

No I lift to room, but room large and clean. Fair WiFi, nice big balcony. Didn't like the 10%service charge at the restaurant.pool clean and good sun beds.

Very nice resort with excellent service and great breakfast and restaurant! Very clean. Great for families. Room is sparse but does the job and is quite clean. The services offered here make up for any thing lacking in room. ( depends on which room type you book- there are some rooms with 2 bedrooms and personal pool that looked super nice). 2 pools, right at beach. We swam at beach and it was nice- doesn’t get very deep. We saw no jellyfish as reported in other reviews so must depend on season. Lots of restaurants nearby, lots to do !

Nice hotel with basic necessities. Water pressure was intermittent. Didn’t stock up the toiletries. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good and had some different things each morning. Beach was nice. Walking distance to massage and other restaurants. The cave is a 15 min drive from there and about 2-3 hr intermediate hike.

Location was amazing. Staff were amazing. Beds were too hard.

Very chill place

It doesn't look very good from the outside, but everything is fine in the room. The furniture is not old, everything in the bathroom is in the same style. Breakfasts are buffet style, the selection is usual. The pool is clean, there is a children's pool. The sea is across the road, there are sun loungers and chairs on the beach.

We have been coming to this hotel for 8 years, one of our favorite places in Thailand. A wonderful concept for a holiday with children, a playground, a children's pool with a slide. But this year, a lot has changed for the worse! What happened to the staff and service in general? We arrived, and workers were sitting under a tree on the playground, relaxing. Equipment was laid out around, a trash cart, which had been standing there for several days. In the morning until lunch, no one does anything, and when the children need to go to bed for a nap, they start mowing the lawn or grass or other noisy work. Can't this be done at other times? Why is the equipment on the lawn all day? It spoils the whole appearance. Why is the territory cleaned only at lunchtime? It was different here for many years! They cleaned at 6-7 in the morning, you leave your room to meet the dawn, and the staff is cleaning everywhere, collecting fallen leaves. Also the beach in front of the hotel, this area used to be cleaned early in the morning every day. Now there is dirt, bottles, plastic, but there are sun loungers. Is it really impossible to collect the trash? They removed the beach volleyball net, which is also a pity. But the most unpleasant impression was left in the restaurant. We have a long-standing tradition at the hotel, there is an ice cream cart and the children themselves run up and order an ice cream cone. There was a whole ritual - the waiter wraps the cone in a napkin and carefully hands it to the child in the napkin. This time I look, and they take the cone with their bare hands, put ice cream on it, while also touching it with their hands, you can't do that! I had to explain to the waiters that there are napkins, gloves, they weren't even near the cart, the napkins were brought after I talked to them. And we saw a lot of such little things, but they really spoil the overall impression. It's very sad, but such service can ruin a wonderful place. We talked to other guests who also came not for the first year, everyone is perplexed about what happened to the hotel! The service and work of the staff have become much worse! When checking in, they ask you to sign the bill in advance for breakfasts that will be in the future. What kind of news is this? What if I don't go to breakfast on one of the days and don't use this service? And the bill has already been signed. Please understand, the bill is signed for the service already rendered, and not in advance. And one more small detail, there were very tasty jams at breakfast, there were none like them anywhere. What did you do with them?! Now no one eats them, they added some preservatives to them, some starch, probably so that they don't spoil for a long time, but they lost their taste ((( It's a pity... Fix the situation before it's too late and return the old Dolphin Bay. I plan to come here more than once and I really hope that everything in this hotel will be fine. It needs to be taken care of))))

The location is very convenient, right by the sea. Good location, near the Long Le market. The service is quite good. The swimming pool is big and has a children's pool. The children like it. The area is wide and has a playground. However, the breakfast has a little less choice.
