Hotel Drei Kreuz

An okay hotel for me & my family's stay during our visit to Salzburg back in July earlier this year. Hotel building was relatively well maintained, it was near some restaurants & some shops, public transport to the city was within walking distance being near the bus (or trolleybus in this case), staff were relatively helpful when present in the morning/afternoon and there were some nice views of the surrounding hills & mountains. However, some negatives I encountered were the lack of staff presence in the night and having to enter a code to enter (didn't feel very comfortable arriving there during dark & while the hotel lights automatically came on when we entered, the lights were off at other times in the night) - its always reassuring & more customer friendly to have some staff present during the dark and the lack of air conditioning in the room which was an issue during the summer, especially when trying to sleep. The room also wasn't exactly the cleanest despite the hotel being relatively well maintained, and the breakfast, while tasty, wasn't quite the best quality (had an upset stomach after my last morning there). So all in all, okay for my brief stay in Saltzburg but needs major improvements for the future & I don't know if I'll stay there again if I return to Saltzburg in future.

We should have known when the receptionist was mocking the previous guests for not understanding English, that this hotel's priority was not about a positive guest experience. The room was clean, but if you enjoy bedroom doors, Wifi that works, a kettle, cups, tea or coffee, air-conditioning and a television from this decade, you will be disappointed. If you consider a breakfast featuring rotten fruit and fruit flies tasty, you are in luck! Just dont eat too much, as portion control is a high priority at this hotel! While the cleaning staff were faultless in their always pleasant greetings, it's a shame the front of house staff couldn't do the same. Leaving Hotel Drei (or Hotel dread as we have renamed it) was not a sad event. With our clothing soaked in the aroma of the Indian restaurant downstairs, we struggled out the doors with our luggage as the man at the desk laughed with his colleague in our general direction. Goodbye Hotel Drei Kreuz!, you have a lot of work to do!!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel 2 notti con la mia famiglia. Pulito, ottima posizione in 20 minuti a piedi siete in centro altrimenti dietro l’angolo c’è la fermata del bus. Personale disponibile e cordiale. La ragazza che ci ha accolto parlava bene l’italiano e ci ha spiegato tutto benissimo. Colazione abbastanza fornita. Purtroppo nelle stanze non c’è il bidet ne l’aria condizionata ne la cassaforte
