We are down here for the week and caught the children's Halloween party by chance being advertised on Facebook. What a credit to the staff the hotel and the community it was all eight of us One great grandmother two Grandparents two parents and the most important three children all had a wonderful time there you are all a credit to the area thankyou for entertaining us all

Exceptional. A busy evening where everywhere was fully booked, but by chance enquired re a table for four. The manager went out his way to accommodate, and his continued attention ensured we had a fantastic meal. Credit to him, and all staff.

This was our evening stop on a long journey to The Minack to perform for a week. We love St Mawes but had not staid in the village before. The hotel was a surprise amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The room was fantastic and we had an amazing view across the bay. Our meal that night was really good and as we were both really tired probably didn’t do it justice. We will definitely be back it was relaxed and friendly.

Ben who runs the place is absolutely BOSS ! He is a true credit to the hotel and runs it with professionalism and friendliness in abundance. Well done Ben and we will be back. My only slight irk was that the family room had an issue with the frying vent outside which I think needs attention as it can be quite overpowering.

Went for lunch with two friends and enjoyed our food. Beware, without any mention we were slapped with a combined gratuity and service charge of £13.08 on a bill of £59.60. Foolishly we didn't check the bill till after we left. Will not be going there again!

Lovely hotel for lunch. We went 2 days in a row. Weather was lovely so we had lunch on the balcony both days. Food was excellent and good value for the quality. Ben who served us was friendly knowledgable and provided excellent service. Views amazing. Although we only had lunch here we were impressed enough to consider coming back to stay for a few nights.

We visited St Mawes for the first time this October & booked the St Mawes Hotel as a mid week evening meal. The atmosphere was second to none, a live singer downstairs that could be heard throughout the entire restaurant (without being over whelming!). The staff were attentive & personable and a credit to the establishment. The moules mariniere were some of the best I’ve ever had! Well worth a visit :-)!

We have been to St Mawes many times over the last few years but had never eaten at the St Mawes Hotel. Last week, we popped in for Sunday lunch and loved it so much that we went back 3 days later for dinner! Great food, with lovely views if upstairs. Super chilled atmosphere and the friendliest staff! Will definitely be eating here again when we come back to St Mawes.

After staying in St Mawes village in June and eating regularly in the evening at the St Mawes Hotel Upper Deck, we have returned for another break. We were just so pleased to learn that Ben was still at the Hotel/Restaurant. He is an absolute star. Exceptionally professional with a big smile and a great personality. So helpful too.
