The first thing I want to mention is that when booking this hotel as a package holiday through jet2 there were a couple of things we were not able to customise about our stay that had you booked this as a hotel stay direct, or through a hotel booking website you'd have been able to choose. Half board stays were compulsory on jet2 and no room options were given, these were both things I would have changed had I been able. However they are clearly able to be changed if you book through a different method. We were assigned a room at the back of the hotel on the first floor, based on the floorpan for this floor all the standard rooms are at the back with larger upgraded rooms at the front. The room was dated and more what I would have expected from a 3 star property. The balcony is small and shaped like a wedge of cheese as it is smaller at one end. The walls are very thin so hope for good neighbours, we could hear the tv from the room across the hall one night and had also heard a toilet seat falling down and the wardrobe doors rolling from the adjoining rooms. The bathroom is small, dated and dark with only one small flickering light above the mirror. There is a fridge in the room with the drinks all chargeable as extra. The safe is in the wardrobe and is only large enough for a regular sized iPad, so if you bring a laptop or a larger iPad don't expect it to fit in the safe. We were assigned to a room with twin beds that had been pushed together so the mattresses kept wandering apart from each other. The plug sockets in the room are the 3 pin style however a standard eu adapter does also work. If you want to charge beside the bed you'll need to unplug the bedside lamps. The air conditioning unit is loud and sounds like a train trying to get up a hill. A neighbouring hotel does live music most nights on the terrace which you can hear if you're at a room at the back of the hotel. There is also a bar next door with loud music too. The hotel is located right on the main road through Riva so there is steady traffic noise and the cross bikes that like to scream through town get old quick. There is WiFi in the hotel but it doesn't cover the pool or rooftop terrace. The WiFi is also fairly slow, and prompts you to re-agree to the terms every couple of hours on each device. The WiFi also tends to freeze occasionally being unstable for a minute or so at a time. The hotel is located a reasonable distance from the center of Riva at about 1.5km. We walk fairly quickly though it was at least 15 minutes walk even then so if you're like us and go in once or twice a day this walk gets annoying. The pool is located outside the front of the hotel directly on the road. The pool is small and a number of the pool loungers look old and dirty. There is no pool bar or toilets and instead you need to use the ones inside the hotel.
