Rodos Star Hotel

Don’t be put off by the Karen’s and Kevin’s who just love to leave bad reviews and complain. Have just finished the most fabulous weeks stay at this wonderful, family run hotel. Moss and her staff made our stay memorable. She arranged our boat trip to Lindos, advised us on local transportation and was there to answer any queries. We had a pool room, actually having our own personal pool which was separated from the others unlike the pools you get in bigger hotels where you share it with your neighbours. Room was clean and tidy, and was cleaned daily. The restaurant had a varied selection of food, there was always something to eat from fresh salad, fish, pasta, pizza and lovely desserts which were made by the lovely Eleni. The poolside also had a snack area where you could make tea/coffee, biscuits, cake and you could even make your own cheese and ham toasted sandwiches if you wanted. Ben at the poolside bar and Phillip in the inside bar quickly learned our drinks orders, pouring them as you walk up. Don’t let the hill scare you, after all a little exercise never hurt anyone and the thought of a lovely cold drink and warm reception at the end made it all worth while. All in all a lovely break away - a five star experience. Can’t wait book and come again to a hotel where you arrive as a guest but leave as family.

We have just had the most amazing holiday staying at this hotel, the food was fantastic, staff were incredible So friendly they make you feel like family nothing was too much trouble. This was the first proper Holiday I have taken my 18 year old daughter on and we’ve had the time Of our lives, we felt safe and met so many lovely people. Moss the hotel manager is amazing, I would give her 10 stars if I could were going to miss her and everyone so much we will definitely be back xxx

There isn’t anything I would have changed about our week at Rodos Star, other than to have stayed longer! It was such a special holiday, my little 7 month old boys first holiday abroad. ALL of the staff couldn’t have been more friendly, management, bar staff, cleaners, waiters, were all loving and caring to us as a family. They really made myself, my parents, my partner and my baby feel so welcome. The food is lovely, there was something for us all. The entertainment was very feel good. Everywhere in the hotel was very clean, its all accessible with ramps, lifts, showers. We hired a cardirectly from the hotel for the day, was a really easy process and they provided a safe carseat for us to use for the day too. The hotel is family run, which i think made all the difference, they really do care. The hotel manager, Moss, is incredible! She is now known as Auntie Moss to my little boy and we are keeping in contact with her. We can’t wait to go back in the future.

Such an amazing place to stay. The all inclusive includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it never dissapointed: so much variety and wonderfully made food. There was a Greek music night and everyone got involved dancing. The staff are so friendly, always greeting people and ready to help whenever. What a lovely holiday and a great place to stay.

A 3star hotel that carries itself like a 5star ❤️‍ With all things Greek, the staff could not do any more to make you feel welcome and a part of the community during your stay. Weather amazing, people incredible. From the amazing Moss on reception (sagapo!), to the gents who run the bars, to the ladies running the restaurant front - service with a smile and a friendly welcome always. They can't do enough for you. The housekeeping amd kitchen staff also do an amazing job behind the scenes, as alwaysbthey are the unseen heroes at hotels like this. Yamas! ☀️

Moss is absolutely lovely and a very welcoming hotel manager, by far one of the best we have experienced. The overall stay was average, there were a few things that we were unaware of that we definitely would have expected to be included in an ALL INCLUSIVE hotel, which are wifi and air conditioning. We had to pay 15 euros per device for a week, and the aircon was 49 euros for the week when we were experiencing heat in its late 30’s. We then found out that 3 days after we leave the aircon then turns free of charge, this shouldn’t even be a question when you are in the heat we experienced. There are definitely not enough sunbeds for the amount of people staying in the hotel, on our first few days the sunbeds were all taken by 7am, then a rule was put in place that you could only get sunbeds after 8am which is ridiculous. The food was one of our biggest downfalls as it was constantly the same foods which were all hot meals with minimal fresh fruit and vegetables, and only pizza and chips as children options. The soft drinks are all flat and just taste like pure sugary syrup, so we stuck to water. The alcoholic drinks are completely watered down, and the cocktails just taste of juice. If you are wanting to go down to the local town there are hardly ever any taxis there and back and it is an extremely steep hill to walk up and down. It seemed to be that on the website late check out was 6pm and then as we paid for late check out in one of our rooms we were told we had to be out the room by 4:30pm as the hotel was busy, then a day later another lady did the same and they gave her the correct late check out. If you are given a room on the bottom floor be very aware of cockroaches and ants, we were two couples staying in two different rooms! One of the rooms was constantly infested in ants and the other room had cockroaches in the room on the daily, and the hotel staff gave us an empty bottle of bug spray at 1:30am to get rid of them and seemed extremely uninterested.

We had a fantastic time with this hotel,everything is very clean, fresh towels daily, wide variety of food, but above all EXCEPTIONAL staff! Everyone was so kind, friendly and helpful, the manager Moss organised a room swap for us with no hassle at all, as a young female traveller I felt so safe here, I recommend it!

I have just returned from an 11 night stay at the rodos star hotel, and I have to say that, for a 3 star hotel, it was excellent, a good selection of food at breakfast, dinner and tea, without overdoing your choices, the pool snack bar, had cold cuts, sliced cheese, cakes and biscuits on offer bread and a toastie grill on hand for those important ham and cheese toastie snacks during the day, Firstly I'd like to get out of the way the location of the hotel, many have made comments of the hill to the hotel, yes it's steep( 19% incline) Walking down to the Village is about 7 to 10 mins, and there's plenty of convenience stores, pubs and taverners there, well worth a look around in the evening when it's cooler, so if walking up an 19% incline is an issue, and you don't want to spend all your time in the hotel, its either not for you or you maybe need to hire a car, the entertainment was very good, there were tribute acts covering Boney M, the drifters and the jersey boys to mention just a couple, to the hotel itself a decent sized pool, and a small toddler pool, sunbeds are at a premium but normally enough to go round, the family room we had was big enough for the 4 of us, and was very comfortable, outside of the months of July and August air con has to be paid for, WiFi is also something you will have to pay for and rates are at reception, some people have commented that this is something that should be included, but for me the price I paid for the holiday, balances everything out, some people's see it differently which is fair enough, Now to the best part of this hotel and that's the staff, I haven't been anywhere where the staff are so kind and friendly and helpful, they made my 2 girls feel so special and always made time for them the staff headed by the hotel manager Moss, are and absolute credit to the hotel, and Moss was amazing she sorted me out a hire car in about 30 mins at a really good price, and anything that was needed was never too much, she treated my 2 girls like princesses every time she saw them, there's a personal feel about this hotel, and because it's not a massive hotel, you get to know the other holiday makers and we made plenty of good friendship the time we were there, Moss you are absolutely amazing at what you do and your staff are a credit to you, I hope to see you again soon
