"The attic is described as a "3 bedroom" apartment, in reality there is only one real bedroom (double) from which you enter directly into a small room with a single bed; in a space in the middle of the apartment they placed a double bed, without even a curtain to separate it from the rest. Let's say that there are 5 beds and that at least 3 people have zero privacy. The entire attic is full of wooden and metal beams and reinforcements, partly real and partly decorative; the effect is not the best. The location is fantastic, in the center and close to all points of interest and transport. The wifi worked fine. The kitchenette is very neglected, with old furniture and a cupboard in which we found - and quickly threw away - several packages of open and expired food. You cook on an electric stove, the socket is 20 centimeters above the sink. The bathroom has a separate toilet, in a small room; in the bathroom the tub doesn't have a rod to hold the hose up and it doesn't have curtains to shelter splashes: either take a shower squatting down or flood the bathroom. In the rooms there are armchairs with lots of cushions, all with a very worn look and a few too many stains. Breakfast is included in the rate, which is very abundant and includes: sliced bread, plain yoghurt, jams, store-bought sweets and slices of homemade cake, milk and juice, fruit. Every day there is a different cake but it is never indicated what it is or the ingredients; milk and juices arrive in open bottles, jams in open cups: everyone eats what they feel confident about."

"The hotel is pleasant and well-located. The rooms are spacious. However, the room temperature automatically resets to 19°C, so when you return in the evening, it's chilly in the room and the heating is capped at 22°C. There's no way to raise the temperature. We had an extra blanket, which wasn't enough. The same energy-saving measures are applied to the water. The flow rate is low, and the water is barely lukewarm. We support environmentalism, but not punitive environmentalism. It's a shame because the staff are pleasant."

The rooms are typical for Mercure but, contrary to other Mercure I have stayed at, you thankfully do not hear your neighbours! Breakfast is varied and good. No restaurant but you can go to La Taverne around the corner."
