La Casa del Gelsomino

We stayed in 10 hotels/b&b’s during our time in Sicily and many were lovely but La Casa Del Gelsomino stood out from the crowd. The room & bathroom were nice sizes and very comfortable. We had a little balcony with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the garden & pool and city view. Breakfast was delicious with many homemade and local made treats. Giovanna goes out of her way to be helpful. The garden is lovely & relaxing. The pool an absolute delight.  We didn’t have time to use the hot tub. Easy walking from the B&B to anywhere. Highly recommend.  (Our GPS did not properly direct us to the property so I’ll include here that you need to drive on what looks like a pedestrian street through the main town square under a tunnel and follow the street around a curve one block up. It is really easy but didn’t seem so the first time we did it. )

A lovely place owned and operated by a lovely lady. The view and the breakfast are as good as it gets. The town shoukd be viewed as borh a hang and a base.

I have food allergies & these were accommodated. Besides generous portions, the food was locally sourced & very tasty. The property is gorgeous & beautifully maintained. Most especially, our hostess, Giovanna was warm, friendly & helpful. Being here made our stay in Ragusa very special.

We loved this property. The proprietor could not have been nicer. Our room was small, but I believe there are larger options. The property was lovely, and the breakfast was an outstanding authentic Sicilian experience. It is located in a quiet yet extremely accessible part of charming Ragusa Ibla. I highly recommend this property.

We had an amazing time in Ragusa at La Casa del gesumina. The b and b was close to the center, walking distance to many sites and restaurants and also to the bus stops for the beach and Ragusa Superiore. The breakfasts were unforgettable and the best we have had anywhere. The warning “leave room for the cake!” Heralded a different surprise every day including caffe granite in a sweet roll, a fruit covered tart and others. This was after we had our savory breakfast including fresh ricotta daily from a local farm which we mixed with local honey. Everything was superb. The garden included a hot tub which was lovely in the evening as well as a shallow pool to keep you cool during the hot day. It was perfect!

Although many guests come here whilst touring we chose this spot for some rest and relaxation. It was perfect, plenty of places to lie back, read or just admire the beautiful view. Our rooms were comfortable with air con and exceptionally clean. Saving the best for last is breakfast which is so tasty and my favorite a surprise sweet treat everyday! Our host was friendly and helpful with every request, even calling a restaurant to lend us an umbrella when it rained. With just a few minutes walk into the main square there are many places to choose your evening meal. We loved it here and highly recommend a visit.

A truely wonderful stay - the best of our trip! Cannot recommend enough. The little garden and jacuzzi is more beautiful than the photos and the breakfast more delicious

An absolute gem I can’t recommend this enough. The garden, rooms, delivery delicious breakfast with lovely local produce and lovely host. The best place we stayed on our trip. Very central location and plenty of nearby parking (despite the very narrow roads).
