We had a beautiful stay at Borgo Livornano near Radda in Chianti. We traveled an ancient, unpaved, winding and sometimes bumpy road through the woods for about 8 km to reach this spectacular villa. The views were breathtaking and the service was amazing. Moses took good care of us and hoisted our heavy bags to our room. Bartolomeo made the best cappuccino ever, and we will definitely miss our morning cups. Nicola created delicious food. And, of course, there was wine! Our room was super comfortable and there were lots of cozy outdoor spaces to relax. Definitely worth the drive up the road!

8 years ago we were here and everything was superb but this year we came back and it was like 180 degrees the opposite. There were no visitors and nobody who can help you if you stay there and want to drink something or want to ask something. It is to bad for this beautiful place. The winery is still very good and they have lovely wines to take home.

Wonderful, absolutely charming place. We especially enjoyed the dinners - Judyta, the waiter, and Paul, the chef, do a great job here - they really care and create a wonderful atmosphere. Practical tip when driving: Google Maps give you wrong direction at the very end (some 1.5 km before Livernao) and tell you to go on a very short fragment of a road which is almost unusable and might damage your car. You should turn at the barrel with Livernao sign instead (which is some 150 m from the place where Google maps suggests to turn, so you should turn roght slightly later if travelling from Castellina in Chianti).

We have been coming to Italy from Canada for over 25 years and sometimes you accidently make the wrong decisions on accommodation and this would be one of those times. Its truly a beautiful place but is under staffed and not very well taken care of. The road in and out to the nearest restaurants is 20 min each way and you need a good driver as the road is very beat up. Breakfast is lovely and Bartolo, Nicolas and Roberto do a great job of keeping the guests happy. We tried to eat dinner there however if you are looking for real Italian I would absolutely not recommend. Just being a truthteller. The rooms are clean and the girls do a great job. I asked in town to some locals about Livernano and why it wasn't up to par with other Agriturismo's and we were told that the person running it isn't on site and wasn't from Italy. I sent an email before we came and asked about possible additional night and they said the rooms were available however when we arrived we explained that we didn't want the additional night (we had 2 expensive rooms booked) and they said no refund is possible and that was that. I can understand why some of the people coming to Livernano have been unhappy. We have really no reason to complain as we are on vacation however we saved for a year to do this family trip.

Found this hotel last minute. At first I was a little reluctant but so happy I choose this. The location is a bit isolated but that’s okay, it’s romantic and honestly getting into the car is not the end of the world. Second the place is super beautiful, gorgeous scenery and setting. Everything is super clean, and the staff is extremely sweet. Morning breakfast was relaxing, dinner was different every night and honestly delicious. The chef creates the menu, I didn’t find a point of going out for dinner when dinner there was great with a view and wine from their winery. For lunch we went out, there’s cute local places nearby 10 minutes away. Love it and we will totally be back!

The best stay we had in Italy! The room was large, bed and pillows super comfortable, large bathroom with great shower and full set of toiletries. Plentiful breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by Chef Bartolo (limited menu, but everything was great). Only wish weather had been a bit nicer so we could've enjoyed the outdoor areas (pool, couches etc.). Only downside is the 8km drive on the windy, steep dirt road, where the storms created a lot of potholes and almost took out the bridge. We saw deer and a wild boar on the drive home from dinner onw night.

Saint, Giorgia and chef Ricardo made our stay incredible! I cannot say enough great things about them and their kindness! I hope the owner appreciates and knows their value! It was quite a ride from Florence, but the beautiful scenery and quietness is exactly what we wanted in our stay. The room was large, AC cold, a beautiful view and clean. The food was wonderful and something new was served each night for dinner options. The breakfast buffet was always fresh and plentiful. Thank you again for our wonderful stay!

Gudrun and staff helped make my husband's birthday one that he will forever remember. The ambiance, the food, the wine, the live guitar music.... and oh the beautiful setting.... on a romantic hillside surrounded by vineyards. The rooms were large and spacious and quiet which was just what we needed. The beds were heavenly! I started my days sipping espresso in the claw foot bathtub and transitioned to hikes through the vineyards and then sitting by the pool sipping vino as the afternoon passed by. Our stay @livernano could not have possibly been better!

This was the most dreamy vineyard experience of our lives. The authenticity was staggering and every detail perfect. Livernano is a must-see when visiting Tuscany, Chianti or Italy in general. Amazing staff and owner. We’ll be back many times.
