Manager Wu (a gentleman) at the front desk was incredibly attentive, making us feel completely at ease while traveling. Ms. Xun Dongmei, from room service, always had a warm smile and went above and beyond to fulfill our requests. All the staff at Shilin were wonderful, making our stay feel incredibly welcoming. 2. The breakfast was outstanding! It surpassed the two other five-star hotels we'd stayed in previously. They offered delicious local specialties like 'posubao' (flaky steamed buns) and 'zheners' (steamed rice noodles), and the variety changed daily. 3. The location is perfect, right at the foot of Liaokuo Mountain Park, making it incredibly convenient for hikes. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, and the area is quiet with fresh air. Taxis are also readily available. 4. We loved that the TV offered free access to online TV shows and movies! This is a huge plus, as many hotels only provide live TV channels. 5. I had the best Cross-Bridge Noodles of my life at Shilin Hotel. I've had countless bowls over the years, but none have ever compared to these. Remember to make a reservation in advance, as the pot needs to bake in the oven for 40 minutes."

"Seriously, I'm fed up. Even if the blankets are washed, they won't be completely clean, but at least they should be washed after someone has slept in them. I was playing on my phone against the pillow, and there was a strong smell. I thought about removing the pillow, but an even more pungent smell hit me. The blankets still smelled of the previous person. I'm going to cry. Not washing the blankets is the most unacceptable thing for me. I can tolerate the following, but I just want to complain: First, a normal hotel or guesthouse should at least have a roll of toilet paper. Even if the paper isn't good quality and others might not use it, there should be some courtesy. This place was different. I wanted to find some paper to wipe up leftover food, but there wasn't any. Second, the people next door were incredibly noisy. They were talking loudly, playing games, ordering takeout, and two guys were talking really loudly. Of course, these are uncontrollable factors, but it just shows how questionable people's manners are. Then, when I woke up in the morning, the bathroom light wouldn't turn on. I wanted to charge my phone, but the outlet wouldn't work either. I racked my brains for ages before realizing there was a main switch that controlled all the power, connected to the bedroom switch. The design was so inconvenient; at least there should have been a sign. I even thought my charger was broken! They don't consider the inconvenience of their customers at all. Finally, as I mentioned, the blankets weren't clean, and they smelled terrible. When I stay in hotels, I never leave my trash on the table; I always put it in the trash can. I just don't understand why a hotel, even with poor facilities, should at least be clean and tidy. The toilet bowl looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The sink was also very low and small; it was probably only suitable for a primary school student to wash their face. I usually don't give bad reviews, since the room wasn't expensive, and you have to accept poor facilities. But I really couldn't stand the fact that the blankets weren't cleaned, so I've listed all the bad things about the room. The only good thing is that there's a large mirror in the bedroom."
