Great hostel! The staff is super friendly. You get a delicious breakfast with an amazing view over the city. We highly recommend to stay here. Hostel and the rooms are very clean and tidy. They offer also tours and a taxi service from/to the airport.

We had a great time here. We liked the staff immensely, from the driver who picked us up at the airport, to the people at the front desk, and the cooks. The room was clean and everything worked. A great value as well- no unexpected surprises. Thanks!

I love this hotel. Before finding it we prayed that God would lead us to the perfect place, and it has turned out to be a huge blessing and answer to prayer! Respectful and educated staff, clean rooms, great view of Panecillo from the rooftop. Even though it is only two blocks from the center of the historical district, the hotel is located on a quiet street and is a pleasant place all day long. Our tour guide was Juan and he did above and beyond what was required of him. He had a wealth of knowledge about Quito’s historical buildings and was great at moving things along. He was also very patient to answer questions, to slow down when needed, and to allow extra time for buying souvenirs. I would definitely recommend him! 5 stars! And 5 stars for the hotel environment and overall experience!

I had an absolutely wonderful day here. The staff was so friendly and so helpful and planning my day trips. I couldn’t have asked for more from them. It was a safe secure building with a nice rooftop breakfast as well and the breakfast was delicious. I like being in downtown whoever at night, it is quite quiet and desolate and not comfortable walking around alone. Also, the only other thing I would note would be that the rooms aren’t soundproof and you hear a lot of noise if your neighbors are noisy, but overall the hotel and its staff were excellent and it was quite a good value , I would recommend this place

Great small hotel in the Old Town! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and gave us lots of nice recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Rooms are clean and have great views of the city (at least ours had), and breakfast was excellent! As a bonus, the hotel has pretty indoor plants everywhere!

The roombwas spacious and clean. Good wifi signal with decemt internet.Clean tovels and bedsheets, the bathroom is immaculate. The hotel is actually in the historical centre of Quito. The building is qute old, it was built in the 1700s and it has a very nice historical vibe to it.

I recommend this place to anyone visiting Quito. Firstly, the staff is fantastic. Very nice and welcoming, they will help you with anything, from booking transfers to the airport, to booking tours. The hotel is located in a beautiful historical building, and my room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It is a quiet place, perfect to relax after a day exploring the city... and its location in the old town is amazing for first time visitors. And the breakfast is simply delicious, served in the rooftop, with a great view to the city.

My stay at the Friends Hotel and Rooftop was amazing. The staff was very courteous and helpful to facilitate tours. The place was extremely clean, and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to others. The place had security that was really great as it added comfort mentally. The location was convenient to many restaurants and tours.

This hotel was a wonderful experience. The reception was very warm flexible and helpful. We had to switch from another hotel the day we arrived and the staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms are very clean and had what I needed. The room had a window looking out over a monastery. It's very close to many historical sights we wanted to see. They offer a walking tour for $20 which was excellent. Our guide Juan was extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time answering our questions. Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I loved our time at Friends Hostel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything you could need! Breakfasts were delicious with lots of local fresh fruit! And the front desk staff were exceptionally helpful with maps and recommendations! Would love to stay again!!
