VOI Colonna Village

Do not go to this hotel, it’s dreadful. Staff are unfriendly. There is mould in the rooms and the rooms are not cleaned properly. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are no hotel facilities to go on a shuttle bus. It is not wheelchair accessible . Lots of steps , many of which do not have hand rails. It is not a four star standard. The first thing they mentioned when we arrived was the city tax at 3.50 euros a day. They did not make us feel welcome. It was so bad that we had to arrange to go to another hotel. There is hardly any lighting at night to walk to the main restaurant. The reception was ok which gave the hotel a false impression. Please see photos. I wouldn’t even go to this hotel even if it was free.

Stunning views. I stayed at the Beach hotel All inclusive. Greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist with a stunning sea view. My room was lovely, comfortable bed, cleaners twice a day, towels changed daily. Beach towel free of charge. Food was plentiful breakfast choice really good warm options and continental. The fresh bottles fruit juices were fabulous. As you’d imagine in Italy great fresh coffee too. Lunch and Dinner plenty of choice and delicious, the pasta and fresh fish were amazing. The restaurant staff worked hard, were friendly and helpful, a choice of beer, wine and water with your meals. Bar room staff again friendly, helpful and welcoming. The quality of all inclusive drinks were very good. Pool was a bit too cold for me but hey nearing the end of the season no surprise. The sea was just right. Regular shuttles to beach, reception and restaurants. Beach area clean and stunning views. Excursion company staff very helpful and I did 2 lovely excursions also. I never found staff rude not once. Treat staff with warmth, respect and courtesy I find you get the same in return. The staff were fabulous. My positives - the views to die for. And the choice of beautiful fresh food. Lovely fellow guests too. My negatives - need more fly control In food areas I know it’s difficult when eating Al fresco but some control needed. Also entertainment far too loud difficult to hold a conversation at the bar, not at all entertaining when you’re deafened at times. I would definitely stay here again. This place isn’t a 4 star hotel. We had changed are room 3 times due to the amount of steps. The rooms are dirty, the floor wasn’t swept or wash the hole time we were there. The bedding hadn’t been changed the whole 10 nights we were there, the bathrooms are dirty mouldy, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, only changed the towels daily, they were tatty. The food was cold all the time, there was a microwave but that was dirty. Plates, cups, jugs had chips, very unhygienic. Butter was for breakfast. There wasn’t much choice of hot food at breakfast eggs bacon either over or under cooked, frankfurters, no fried eggs. Ice cream was lunch time only, soup was evening only. In the evening it was a rush to get a seat, the furniture was either sunken in the middle, or wobbly chairs. There are so many steps in this place, to see parents having to carry there pushchairs up and down the steps was frightening to watch. AVOID not worth the money. Give it 2 stars at a push.

Positives: View Beach Food (Variety Pasta) Negatives: Staff Attitude, from indifference to rude (some exceptions) Breakfast: Uncleared tables, dirty table cloths, 10 mins plus to order and receive costs, to few staff under pressure Ist room listed as sea view in beach hotel, had tree in front obstructing view. After demanding to see manager and negotiation, room changed from 2nd night Lazy beach staff. On last day they refused to put up extra parasols, despite 31 degree temperature. Excuse, to windy. Or move loungers to nearby trees for shade. Guests had to do it themselves Drinks Package: same wine daily, except for last night Resturant in beach hotel closed previous week. Same for bar in the evening Noisy main bar, music pumped out at maximum volume. Difficult to hold a conversation Many steps without hand rails Room cleanliness, dirty bathroom floor Stuck in middle of nowhere. Only option, hire a car, or expensive taxi ride to nearest town Frequency of shuttle service around town Plague of flys and biting inspects making it uncomfortable on beach We will not be returning

Avoid this hotel. Most staff ( not all) are rude and unhelpful. We arrived late on a Saturday to be told we were half board and not all inclusive. Despite showing out booking confirmation. The receptionist was unhelpful. And the one the next morning Nadiya, was rude. The food is awful. Everything is cold. Pool towels are charged and the seating on the beach policed so you only sit where they put you. Some staff were very nice and helpful, Anabel and Mateo at bar, all the cleaners. Restaurant staff overworked which didnt help their mood!! All in all very disappointing for the money we paid.

What to say...I just left there a piece of my heart and i brought home some of the best memories of my life. All the staff was friendly, kind nd helpful starting from the warmest welcome ever to the farewell. A big thank to all...nobody excluded
