We had high expectations for our holiday to the Silver Sands Beach Hotel in 2024. We were so looking forward to the holiday. When we arrived the coach deposited our luggage at the top of the road without any consideration to the fact that we might have had a long journey and we were forced to carry our luggage down to the Hotel. The Silver Sands Hotel is basically a Youth hostel operation with food included. The rooms are basic and there was a insect in one of the drawers. The toilet was very difficult to flush as we thought the handle would fall off in our hands. The shower unit was the same and I broke a nail trying to move the mixer tap from the bath function to the shower function. The room was not fresh and felt dirty although cleaner's did make the beds and clean the room. Breakfast and supper was ok but the service was not great. We got the impression that certain staff were not interested in us ! We would not recommend anyone to stay at this particular hotel at all costs. Its a 1 star Hotel with basic amenities. We have stayed at numerous hotels in Cyprus and this was by far the worst hotel we have stayed in. Its so sad as the hotel is on the beach so the location is very good. This hotel needs a complete refurb to bring it up to a decent standard that someone would be happy to stay in.

What a hotel. Unbelievable location. Right on protaras beaches and promenade and other side right on the protaras strip. We had a great view of both from our room. Rooms has a great vibe to it. Food was brilliant and staff all friendly and work really hard. Seen the same faces alot. We stayed all-inclusive and was recommended. The cocktails where nice. Bigger selection in the lobby bar. The bartender was rapid at making them.the selection of food at all meal times was really good. Feel like they covered all bases, fresh salads. Moussaka, breads and dips. Chicken Nuggets and chips and alot more. Great for everyone really. Pool isn't massive but again your right on the beach and that's big enough for everyone. One thing I was happy to see was that at the end of each night there wasn't any towels left on the loungers which is hard to come by these days. So nice little touch. Would recommend this hotel and will certainly visit again.

Me and my Boyfriend have just stayed in Protaras for 10 nights, and of course had to visit our favourite barman! Makis, thank you for making our holiday so special, as always. The hotel entertainer, Borcsi, is brilliant and really good at hosting the daily activities around the pool and in the evening. We cant wait to be back to see you all soon ❤️ xx

Excellent stay at the silver sands hotel why this hotel is only 3 stars is beyond me me and my partner had the best time and would rate 5 stars we have stayed in 3 stars before and this is by far the best hotel ever in the best location right on the beach close to bars shops restaurants very good location very friendly helpful staff the food was amazing second to non great selections something for everyone always hot perfect Room 331 side sea view but this room gifts you with a sun set view room was tended too everyday and cleaned perfectly spacious room with fridge hairdryer bath shower towels changed everyday we checked in around 2.45 am and because we missed dinner we was given a voucher to use for free lunch the following day hotel pool area spotless well maintained big shoutout to makis the best bar guy around (let’s have a shot) great reception team very helpful we cannot wait to return again by far the best holiday look forwards to future stays at silver sands anyone who is going for the first time your in for a treat

Excellent. Our second stay at the fabulous silver sands. What a location, it’s perfect, right on the beach, just a hop over the boardwalk into that beautiful sea. If I win the lottery I’m moving in . Everything perfect, the staff are wonderful, the food amazing and such a choice. Been back a couple of days and am so missing my 3 course breakfast. 5⭐️experience, loved it

Hotel is really well situated you are in the middle of everything, you walk out on the beach. The waiting staff were rude and didn’t engage with people , we asked for a fork and they said no and walked off. But on the flip side the bar waiters were so nice and polite. The food was poor and the selection wasn’t great but some of the combinations that they came up with were unusual and that’s being polite. the drinks are expensive there is a mobile bar next to the pool area so go and get your Sri ka from them. The rooms are dated the mattresses didn’t actually fit the bed , only one pillow that was as thick as a price of paper. Tv doesn’t actually have any English channels. Reception staff were polite . There are about 20 sun loungers that are cushioned and if you want one then expect to wake at 6.30am to get a chance of getting them, some of the loungers are ok but then ones near to the beach are not comfortable at all. Definitely go to Protaras but maybe look for another hotel

Staying at the the Silver Sands Hotel was a very pleasant experience, I stayed here with my family for 5 nights. It was a great deal for the money for family at a great location with really nice beaches nearby. I very much enjoyed the excellent quality service with my family - good selection of foods, nice swimming pool, gym facility, evening program, friendly staff, drinks at the bar where the bartender was very friendly even children liked him. The rooms were nice and clean. We had spectacular sea views. Overall experience was very satisfactory, I recommend Silver Sand Hotel to any family.

We stayed in the Silver Sands for a week in October. Great location . Rooms ok , balcony small but has sea view. Overall hotel was average , but tired and verging on dirty. Some lovely staff , but a good few need to try harder and remember you are working in the holiday business (especially the young man at the restaurant he never cracked a smile or spoke the whole week, must try harder). You won’t starve here, breakfast is decent , but dinner is a bit miss matched and on the cold side. Pool area tired and a lot of broken sun beds. Overall we had a good holiday it’s a shame the hotel was average, definitely come back to the area maybe just not Silver Sands.
