Ulasan Hotel "Palác U Kočků" by Adrez, Palace at the Cats

The room did not entirely match the pictures advertised online, although it was acceptable. However, I found some basic necessities missing in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. One peculiar aspect was the hotel's cleaning policy. For stays of less than three days, cleaning only occurs once, leaving the room feeling less fresh than expected. Communication from the receptionist was also lacking. They were unclear about breakfast times and check-out procedures. Moreover, there was a disagreement regarding the payment for breakfast. Despite my booking indicating breakfast for two, the receptionist insisted it was only for one. This discrepancy could have been handled more professionally.

Hotel Palác U Kočků By Adrez Living is right down in Old Town Prague, so much so that our Uber driver wasn't sure we had arrived (amidst a holiday crowd on the streets). He just pointed to his phone showing us that as far as he knew we were where we wanted to go. Luckily I saw the sign for the hotel (no marquee but I'm sure that's because there are no marquees on those narrow streets) and we got out and went into the lobby. We got sorted around right away and checked in then walked the 5 minutes to the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square and just like that we were experiencing Prague. The rooms are clean and modern, and of a 'European' size, in other words not huge but with all the amenities you could need. The hotel shares the main floor with a restaurant/bar so if you are looking for a quiet retreat this might not be the place for you but after hours it's fine and as quiet as rooms in the centre of a major city are going to get. The hotel is an easy walk to everywhere downtown, the Charles Bridge is about 10 minutes, Wenceslas Square is about 20 minutes and of course the Old Town Square is right there. Walk across the Charles Bridge and you can ascend to Prague Caste (beware the name, it is a 'complex' not an actual castle per se). That walk is about an hour and uphill but great. The breakfast (included) was wonderful, everything you could want and you could sit outside and watch the passersby while you had your meal or just sipped a coffee. Caveat: There are two sides to the hotel and only one side has an elevator, the other does not. Considering there are 4 stories above the main floor this is worth noting and, if possible, requesting in advance. The front desk was very helpful and always manned. Someone always spoke enough English to get us through. A last word, this hotel was exactly what we wanted, comfortable and situated in Old Town, allowing us to truly experience this amazing city. I would call it a 'boutique' hotel and therefore not for the 'middle of the road' North American traveller but if you really want to experience Prague I recommend it highly.

The location is great. It is just a little difficult if you have many bags to get up to the top floor and to get to the hotel itself. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Was a great apartment. Spacious and clean. In the center of old town and walkable to everywhere you want to go. Had a great stay.

It's a three star hotel, so don't expect more than that. It is exactly what it says. The pictures on their website are misleading; the room, we had stayed in, looked a bit dated and definitely would benefit from a refresh, however it was spacious and comfortable. The mattresses were a bit hard; we were ok with that, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. The housekeeping could be better - they were only doing the bins and were not bothered with anything else. No tea bags top up (we had to ask for extra ones at the reception), no fresh towels, no extra toilet rolls. It was common to find mops and buckets left by cleaners the day before and not collected over night. It was disgusting. The hotel is located in the city centre, which is superb for sightseeing. You have everything you need at a walking distance - the castle, the astronomical clock, the Jewish Museum and many more. A lot of restaurants and pubs are nearby. But with the location come some cons. The noise and the crowd. The noise starts in the early morning, ca. 4am with restaurant deliveries and never stops until late after midnight as people keep shouting and singing. Of course it's not the hotel's fault, but it still affects your sleep. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there is the Fat Cat located in the same building. You will find their leaflet in your hotel room, advertising the all you can eat breakfast. However, be careful as their staff might try to double or triple charge you for breakfast only because you are a foreign tourist. As we were told by our airport transfer driver - it's a typical practice. What a shame! It really leaves a bad impression of Czech people.

Loves that it was so close to everywhere we wanted to see. At least one more trash can in the room would have been helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location. The location cannot get better. It’s worth it ! Great and helpful print desk. They have a cafe at the hotel itself. So if you wanna grab a quick bite it helps. The location is the King here. Right in the heart of old town. The hotel covers all basic amenities. Room size was big enough.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and in a safe neighborhood I would say; just 2 minutes walk from the astronomical clock tower and old town square. I pick the right hotel which I’m happy about because I prefer to just walk to all the interesting places to visit at the old town. The property has a bar/restaurant at the ground floor which serves American foods. My room was at the third floor and away from the pedestrian lane so it was not noisy and I can see the sky from my window! The staff were thoughtful and making my birthday memorable with a surprise gift -local chocolate and personalized note.

We stayed here for 4 nights and could not fault it. The staff were exceptional from check in through to leaving on our last day. This was one of the cheapest hotels in Prague when we booked & we were pleasantly surprised. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the old town and easy to get to everything. We got there quite late on the Friday and the gentleman was lovely. Our room was on the 7th floor and was spacious and clean. The road outside can be quite noisy but wasn’t an issue for us. One thing I would mention is that understandably the rooms do not get cleaned everyday, so we had to ask for extra towels mid way through which wasn’t an issue. Bit of a smell from the bathroom when we checked in , can assume it was to do with the sewage system, again nothing major and that we couldn’t deal with. Do note the shower space In rooms on the top floor is not very spacious, if you’re extra tall you might struggle! On our last day we were able to leave our luggage for free of charge in a locked room so felt very safe leaving stuff here. Thankyou for a lovely stay! We will definitely look here again if we come back to Prague!

Two blocks from Oktoberfest! Perfect location

Hotel was in an excellent location on a semi quiet street. There were lots of little things very close by including Old Town Square which was our reasoning for booking this hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk away. There is a restaurant and bar literally downstairs along with some other shops and restaurants very close by. Our room was interesting because we were the only room on the 3rd floor but it was a cute room with an extra entry way and decent sized (for Europe) bathroom. Overall you can't beat this room for the price and location. I would definitely stay here again for those 2 reasons alone
