It was really clean and good. Friendly staff and good location

Very kind staff, parking very convenient , great location. Nice swimming pool and balcony. Only thing to change is the matress which is a bit too hard.

The room was so large, and I really liked how clean the room was. They have a large terrace to enjoy the view.

I had a wonderful stay! The customer service was superb, the room was spotless, and the location was perfect. I was hesitant to spend so much on a hotel room even though I was going to be in Oahu for only 22 hours, but I'm so glad I did. I felt right at home, and the bed and shower were sooo worth it!

Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commitment to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

Key do not worked , even after changing 7-8 times in 5 days stay .

The hotel is located between Alamoana and Waikiki area. It was walkable to both place, so you can save transportation expenses. My room was at 17th floor and I could see the harbor view. The pool was not big but ok.

The room was somewhat clean, there were stains in the carpet. The windows was dirty. The beds were low and hard, not really comfortable. Great location!!!

The hotel is an affordable price with simple and clean environment. The room looks new and tidy which make me pick for my four nights stay. More importantly they offer cheap parking charge compared to other hotels in Waikiki. There are two bottle of water to be provided each day and you can redeem for free in front desk which is appreciated, you can also take the refilling water in lobby. Microwave is provided in each room too.

Very friendly staff working in the grounds/pool area, reception, housekeeping.

The rooms I booked were on the 4th to 17th floors, so I requested a higher floor when making the reservation. When I checked in, the hotel gave me the 6th floor, but the staff told me that the room I booked was a standard room, so they couldn't give me a higher floor. When I showed the reservation confirmation, the front desk staff said it was not possible because the room I had booked was a standard room. I paid enough for the room I wanted but I didn't get the room I wanted. If I travel to Hawaii again, I will stay in a downtown hotel.

This is my daughter(5) and my favorite staycation spot for the last few years. The pool is wonderful, very relaxing and fun. The location is great for those who want to shop and dine at the Ala Moana Center. As we live on Oahu, Waikiki can be a bit too busy so if you are those who want to stay off of Waikiki, this is great as it’s at the edge of Waikiki, right by Ala Moana! We also enjoyed the free lei making with friends we made at the pool too.

The room is clean and nice with balcony, room size also quite comfortable . Staff can be a bit more friendly.

Got an upgrade to the ocean front suite which was absolutely gorgeous! Loved the location as well- near the duke’s beach and far away from the noise of Waikiki, but still accessible by foot. Enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this hotel!
