Lodge on Main Guest House and Conference Centre

I stayed at Lodge on Main in the Baobab suite for 5 nights. It was not great, and that is an understatement. 1'st, falsely advertised that the unit had a washing machine, which was 1 of the reasons I booked that unit, but it didn't. When inquiring about that, I was just told "there's no washing machine". The room was DISGUSTING! It smelled of mould, was beyond filthy (deeply stained carpets, sweat/dirt stains on the headboard and more). The room and surrounding common areas were also dirty and severly neglected. the owner also couldn't care less that when a guests is not comfortable. This is meant to be a 4 star establishment, it was far from that! HORRIBLE.

Lodge on Main is an amazing guest house, right in the hub of Walmer. You are in close proximity to quite a few restaurants and shops that you can explore. The rooms are very beautiful and welcoming giving off a homey feel. I highly recommended staying at the Lodge on Main guesthouse. I had an amazing time while I was there.

While the majority of my review is average the place was very decent for a one-night stay. The show drain did seem blocked and the shower would fill up while taking a shower. The room was decent size and pretty clean. whish TV faced the Bed but that is a personal preference.

Where shall we start, the fecis of the previous people on the toilet brush - disgusting, the supposed to be white towels that is actually grey of dirt, the water pump that screams the whole night, the not so welcoming, had to wait almost an hour for them to confirm that we have paid upfront - was paid online. We will never recommend this place for anyone. It does not deserve it stars!!!!!!

Very well positioned. A short drive from the airport. Good restaurants close by. Tastefully furnished. Decent parking. Would give 4 or 5 stars but disappointed with the linen. White duvet covers unpleasantly stained at the seams from use. Duvet covers seemed clean but clearly in need of replacement. Attentiveness from staff at the breakfast service could be improved. Would stay here again.
