Mahanuge Hotel Polonnaruwa

Had an amazing stay here. The staff was friendly specially the house keeping was really nice and super friendly! Housekeeping officer mr anil and hotel manager have taken care our needful personally. Food were amazing and buffet was awesome. There is a nice pool with fresh water.

Worst hotel ever We booked this hotel at the last minute in a rush. I thought it was good after reading great reviews. But after going there, I realized that it was a wrong decision. The room was not clean. Ordered lunch to the room and all the ordered items did not arrive, called twice to inquire about it and finally I gave up on that idea and ordered outside food to satisfy my hunger. Also asked for a bottle of water but didn't get it either. Dinner was terrible. There was some cabbage and carrots in what they called a salad without any salad or flavor. The soup was a yellow liquid and it was cold! They had to heat it up to try to consume it. The glass was smelly and disgusting. The main course was the only thing edible with grilled chicken, otherwise we would have starved. Dessert was a poor choice between the ice cream, jelly and fruit platter! The fruit platter was sad looking and the jelly was really cheap jelly! Charged extra for water bottle. Breakfast is normal, only strem hoppers. Lunch has no choices. But with lunch they served flies. Front office, kitchen and house keeping all the staff gave poor service and they have no knowledge about hospitality. Overall, this is totally not worth what they charge, I'd be willing to pay 25% of that. Couldn't wait until the next morning to leave this place. Will never return!
