HL Rondo Hotel

We have been going to this hotel for years, last year we stayed in the bungalows across the road as the hotel was being renovated. We book our trip every January for the following October. Cannot wait to go back it was excellent! 5 stars! We enjoyed the new restaurant, freshly cooked to order breakfast. The pool area with the new outdoor cafe was great. The Gym looks like its going to be a great addition too. Well done HL looking forward to seeing the new bungalows next year. Certainly the best place to stay for the Yumbo and beach so central.

The hotel was refurbished last year and all areas of the hotel are still in very good condition. The rooms are large, plenty of wardrobe and shelf space, beds and pillows are comfy, towels replaced daily, lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The only thing that would make the rooms even better is a remote for the air con - having to get out of bed to switch on/off was a pain. Sound proofing needs to be upgraded - we could hear neighbours’ bathroom noise and them talking. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and available until 11:30am. We had dinner in the hotel twice and the food was good. The pool is a good size and clean. Anthony the lifeguard was friendly, diligent and helpful if needed e.g. putting parasols up/down. Sun lounger reserving went on so I would suggest the ‘no reserving’ rule was enforced. All the staff were friendly, helpful and worked to a high standard. The reception staff, particularly Guisi (who keeps a small number of reading books under the reception desk but you have to ask if you want one) were really helpful even when we asked to move rooms because of the noise from building work going on in the hotel. A mention also to Gian, one of the waiting staff in the restaurant during the evenings. Very disappointed that the gym was still under construction (an on site gym was one reason we booked the hotel) and we definitely wouldn’t have booked the hotel if we knew refurbishment in various parts of the hotel was ongoing. There is music around the pool but it’s not intrusive unlike the music from the Axel Beach hotel next door. Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings until 18:30 it’s party time. The music is *very* loud (you can’t escape it even inside the hotel) but on the plus side because people around the pool left, it freed up lots of sun beds. Eating out was easy but if you want more traditional food you need to see where the locals eat. La Pergola nearby was good.

Well what can I say initial impressions all good only just arrived (will update as we go )but book it’s just lovely rooms gorgeous huge modern bed so comfy . Staff so far have been soooo friendly and helpful!Check in was wonderful greeted by a lovely lady offered chilled peach Bellini or champagne !! And two cold towels to freshen up …..wow beautiful touch . Breakfast lovely freshly cooked lots of fruit n filter coffee is gorgeous! Pool beautiful and absolutely dead right now just us by pool and 10 am , will update later as we learn more but first impressions book quick we got a fabulous deal xx

Well done HL Rondo! What an amazing hotel. Lovely modern refurbishment, rooms spacious and cleaned daily. Breakfast perfect. From the minute we arrived every member of staff we met was amazing, so friendly and would go out of their way to help. Grounds kept clean and tidy at all times, pool area nice with comfortable sunbeds. Hotel is in a perfection location for the area. 5 stars all round HL Rondo! Thanks for making our holiday a great one!

We were greeted with glass of Bellini on arrival which started our holiday off to a lovely start. The room was clean, modern and spacious. Lovely current english music around the pool and a gorgeous pool bar for drinks and food. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, even offering to order taxis for us and giving information for the free bus to the beach. The breakfast had a great selection of cured meats, fruit, bread, pastries as well as show cooking of eggs, bacon and toasties to order. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and there is a lot of choice for meals out and activities in the surrounding areas.

Amazing hotel , newly refurbished still Bits going on but didn’t cause any issues , all staff were lovely , friendly and couldn’t do enough , Definitely more adult style hotel , lovely large rooms , small balconies but enough to be comfortable . Our room was facing the road side of hotel but the door shut was enough to keep it peaceful inside the room , Probably the best I’ve ever slept on holiday , lovely comfy beds with extra duvets if needed . It is a bit of walk to The beach ( back up tests your leg muscles but it’s not horrendous) Plenty of space and beds round the pool and extremely comfy chairs . Pool bar was very welcoming and again lovely staff , we had the pleasure to watch Spain get through to the football final in their company which was great ( luckily we have left before the final ) Overall it’s a small and friendly hotel which I can’t wait to return to . I’ve personally never felt so welcomed in a hotel .
